–Draw Prompt, Drawn to Life

Banya is a main source of food in the Raposa world, or at least in Rapoville, at it makes up the bulk of their diet. It appears in Drawn to Life, Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter (Wii), and Drawn to Life: Two Realms. It is grown as a crop and used to make all sorts of food, such as bread, muffins, and more. Farmer Brown is the only known Raposa to grow Banya, but it is extremely likely that it also grows in the Banya Fields. It is a creation in the original games, but is pre-made in Drawn to Life: Two Realms.

TowerIcon.png Appearance[edit]

Due to Banya being a creation object and having no pre-drawn preset or guide in the original Drawn to Life, the appearance of this object is completely dependent on the player. They are still confined to the area provided.

In Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter (Wii), the preset for Banya resembles a sprouting potato.

Book Icon.png Story[edit]

In each game that Banya appears, it plays a minor role in the main story.

Drawn to Life[edit]

After rescuing Farmer Brown from the Snow Caves, he asks the Hero to clear the Darkness around his farm, expecting Banya to grow shortly after. However, he had run out of Banya seeds, so the Hero is sent to Banya Fields to collect the Banya Template. After rescuing Chef Cookie's party and finding the template, new Banya is planted in the farm. Thanks to the excessive Sun however, the crop grows brittle and tensions begin to rise. The Hero is sent to Icy Lake to collect the Rain Cloud template to dampen the effect of the sun. At the end of the game, when Wilfre steals the Book of Life, Banya is one of the creations to go missing. After Wilfre's defeat, the crop returns.

Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter (Wii)[edit]

This Section of Banya Contains Non-Canon Content!

In Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter (Wii), the Banya crop goes missing once again. When the Hero first talks to Farmer Brown, he suspects the Monkeys of stealing it, so Jowee and the Hero are sent to Jangala Outpost to once again retrieve the Banya Template and restore the crop. Much later, when Yetis cause a snowstorm in Rapoville, the Banya crop is threatened, so Jowee and the Hero go to the Crystal Caverns to defeat them.

Drawn to Life: Two Realms[edit]

Four years later, the Banya is being threatened again, as a Baki Thief has begun to steal it. Cricket and the Hero work together to stop the Acorn Baki, with the Hero uses the Book of Imagination to stop the thieving. However, after apprehending the Thief, Cricket decides to ask Farmer Brown to set some Banya aside for it. At the end of the game, the Baki Thief brings his babies to the Banya Farm to eat.
