NavyJ, or Navy J, is a singer, dancer, and songwriter. He is well known in Rapoville, having several groupies. However, the residents of Watersong don't recognize him.

TowerIcon.png Appearance[edit]

NavyJ has orange fur that is styled as a swirl on his head. He wears a light blue shirt underneath a white-and-blue jacket. NavyJ also wears white pants.

In Drawn to Life: Two Realms, his fur is tan.

Drawn to Life[edit]

NavyJ and his groupies are saved in Gearworks just in time for the festival. During the village festival, he sings on the Village Stage along with The Hero. He asks The Hero questions beforehand, for seemingly no reason at first, then he sings the opposite answers, alongside babbling something about The Mayor. Afterwards, he can be found with his groupies hanging around the stage.

Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter[edit]

In Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter he is kidnapped by Wilfre at the beginning of the game and must be rescued from Watersong, in Jivin' Rooftops.

Drawn to Life: Two Realms[edit]

Four years later, NavyJ is slated to perform in the Watersong district in Rapoville, but he gets stage fright. He thinks back to his first performance from the original game and believes that no one wants to see him in his current era. After the Hero uses the Book of Imagination on him, NavyJ begins hearing a new song in his head and asks the Hero to find Cricket. At the end of the game, NavyJ is seen performing.

Help Navy J create a show to be remembered!

–Level Description

NavyJ's Imagination Battle in Drawn to Life: Two Realms is named Magnum Opus. It is the fifteenth story level in the game, has three segments, and requires the player to have earned 14 stars. After helping Pirate Beard, Unagi, and Indee, they direct the Hero to NavyJ, who is worried about his upcoming concert. He has stage fright and low self-esteem, so the Hero uses the Book of Imagination to cheer him up.

Build Mode[edit]

In Build Mode, the player is given four Bounces. One possible solution is to place a Bounce underneath the first gap in the platforms, a second underneath the second column of coins, a third at the right-most edge of the floor, and the fourth underneath the second Gem.

With you as his Muse, Navy J is sure to knock everyone's socks off!

A festival?
Sounds great... I've been working on a new song!

Being rescued from Gearworks.

Can't be a festival without some music... and I'm the best there is!

Hearing about the festival.

You better handle this... I need some time to practice before the festival.

Telling the Hero to clear the darkness from the stage.

I'm gonna put on an amazing show!
Don't look at me, the Mayor has the details!

On the stage, after the darkness is cleared.

Presenting the Hero at the festival.

The sea can inspire some great lyrics!
Ohhh yea! NavyJ gonna top the charts again!

On the beach.

Take Wilfre down!
I'll work on a song for you...

Right before Wilfre is fought.

Victory dance!

After Wilfre is defeated.

Check out my final dance!
Pretty nice, right!?

NavyJ showing off his final dance at the end of the game.

Excuse me little lady, could you tell me where we are?

Asking Madeleine where the portal took him, Samuel, and Indee.

... Is that so? I assume you've heard of the amazing NavyJ, world class raposa superstar?

A little ego stroking.

Rose eh... Maybe I can give her a few musical pointers...

About Mayor Rose.

Things may look rough, Hero, but if anyone can take care of 'em, it's you.
When you make it out of this, I'll write a song in your honor.

On Turtle Rock.

After all that hard work, it's bout time for a party, don't ya think?

At the end of the game.

I'll hold onto any treasure you find, ok?

Before completing Sleuthing Extraordinaire

The only thing I care about is treasure...

Before completing an unknown story level.

Find any interesting artifacts? I have to catalogue them of course for... research.

After completing an unknown story level.

I can’t do it! Too many lights... cameras...

Hero, Do you remember my breakout show? That was a long time ago... I was young then. Full of boldness and confidence!

I’m scared. If the Raposa see me again, they’ll just be disappointed.

I’m sorry Hero, I won’t perform.

The notes are flowing through my head! I can hear it. I need to record this song!

Hero, I hope you’ll accept this ticket for my next show. On the house!

I need to get some stage practice in... Can you make sure we have adequate security for the show?

  • During development of Drawn to Life, NavyJ had tan fur, but it was changed to orange.
  • NavyJ is an obvious reference to Elvis Presley. In fact, this is his name in a few languages.
  • According to his groupies, two of his songs are called "Forgotten Freely" and "Monia Monia".
  • He is one of the few Raposa to not have his idle sprite replaced in Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter.
  • When first arriving in Watersong, Madeleine calls him "silly-hair", making fun of his hair style.
  • When NavyJ shouts during the festival, his dialog font switches to the bold variant often used by the Creator and narrator. He is the only Raposa to do this.
  • In some files for Drawn to Life: Two Realms, NavyJ's name is incorrectly spelled as "Navey J".
  • NavyJ is the only character to have the Stage Biome used in a Story Imagination Battle.
