Some non-cisgender [[Raposa]] may choose to go through a process known as '''Transitioning'''. This is a relatively cheap, 5 step procedure that can be stopped, paused, or restarted at any stage. Steps 1 and 5 must be done first and last respectively, but steps 2 through 4 can be done in any order. Due to the semi-magical nature of Raposa, this procedure can be done an infinite amount of times, assuming the Raposa having the procedure done has enough [[Rapo-Coins]].

==Transition Process==
Before the process can begin, [[Raposa]] are required to sign a consent form and provide a sample of their DNA so that their [[Fanon:Raposa Fur Colors|biological fur colors]] can be recorded for step one of the procedure.

===Follicle Surgery===
The first step in the transitioning process is known as follicle surgery. For biologically male Raposa, this process involves replacing all the non-orange fur follicles with orange fur follicles and replacing the fur follicles on the [[Raposa]]'s head with hair follicles that match the Raposa's biological fur color. For biologically female Raposa, this process involves replacing the hair follicles with fur follicles and replacing the orange fur follicles with those that match the Raposa's biology. For biologically female Raposa, a special treatment is also done to suppress the fur-color inhibitor activated by the XX chromosome.

The next three steps of the transitioning process can be done in any order and can be done all at once or split into different operations.

===Bottom Surgery===
Bottom surgery for a [[Raposa]] is very similar to bottom surgery in the real world. The main purpose of this surgery is to alter the Raposa's genitalia to the desired form, whether that be a penis, vagina, something in between, some combination of both, or removing them completely. This process typically requires the Raposa to be asleep or at least numbed below their waist. 

The main difference between a [[Human]] and Raposa's bottom surgery is the construction of the penis, as the Raposa penis has a baculum (penile bone) and a knot that expands before ejaculation. The knot is constructed in a similar way to the human penis, but the baculum is constructed with tissue and a semi-magical treatment that can convert tissue cells into bone cells. The baculum can also be taken from a donor or from a biologically male Raposa who wishes to remove their penis.

===Middle Surgery===
Middle surgery for a [[Raposa]] is akin to top surgery for a [[Human]]. The main purpose of this surgery it to alter the Raposa's chest area to the desired form. This can involve a mastectomy and chest reconstruction for biologically female Raposa and breast augmentation for a biologically male Raposa. This process typically requires the Raposa to be asleep or at least numbed below their neck and above their waist. 

===Top Surgery===
Top surgery for a [[Raposa]] is a procedure akin to an otoplasty. The main purpose of this surgery is to reconstruct a Raposa's ear do be the desired shape, whether that involve removing parts of the ear to shorten them, or using a magical procedure to rapidly clone ear cells. This process typically requires the Raposa to be asleep or at least have their ears numbed. Some Raposa prefer to skip this step, as it is not required for step 5, and some cisgender Raposa have this procedure done for cosmetic or styling reasons.

===Genetic Surgery===
Genetic surgery is the final step in the transitioning process and involves a [[Raposa]] having their chromosomes, hormones, and other genetic variables changed to account for the patient's preferred biology. This step of the transitioning process requires an additional consent form to be signed, as this step takes much more magic than the other four steps, and some Raposa may have an adverse reaction to the increased level of magic in their system.
