'''Salem''' is one of the primary antagonists in ''[[Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter]]'', as he is directly responsible for [[Rose]] losing her [[Power of Song|voice]] and [[Miney]] taking control of the [[Robosa]]. It is eventually revealed that Salem is not his own being, but rather a disguise used by [[Wilfre]]. As such, Salem was killed alongside Wilfre at the end of ''Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter''.

Salem is a [[Raposa]] with grey fur. He wears a white mask that covers half of his face along with a black cloak and top hat.

== {{Icon|Book}} Story==
Salem is first seen in [[Watersong]] when [[Miles]] runs into [[Mari]], [[Jowee]], and the [[Hero]]. Salem passes off Miles to the three of them and leaves right before [[Sock]] runs into the group. Later, we learn that Salem had interrupted one of [[Rose]]'s operas, challenging her to a singing competiton. Believing that the [[Power of Song]] was unbeatable, Rose decided to take Salem up on his challenge. Salem declared that the winner would be crowned "greatest opera singer in the world", while the loser would lose their voice for all eternity. Rose bound herself to this deal using a [[Promise Conch]], unaware that Salem had cheated, causing Rose to lose her voice.

After the contest, Salem hid the active Promise Conch deep in [[The Abyss]], and Watersong became weak. After learning of this, Mari and Jowee resolve to find the Promise Conch, but Salem appears to taunt them, saying that they would never find the conch. However, while taunting them, a piece of seaweed fell off of him, allowing Miles to pinpoint the location of the Promise Conch. Later, after Rose's voice is restored and the transfer of the Power of Song is halted, Salem appears to kill Rose and Miles. However, the Hero appears, angering Salem, who then reveals himself to be [[Wilfre]] in disguise.

Salem is not mentioned again until Jowee, Sock, and the Hero rescue [[Moe]] from [[Mine Cart Mayhem]], who reveals that Salem became [[Miney]]'s advisor and told him to make the villagers work non-stop. Salem also told Miney that he would be betrayed by those closest to him, meaning Moe and [[Key]]. However, Salem is not physically seen again until after the [[Robosa]] malfunction and are shut down. Salem chastises Miney for ruining their plans, and he leaves to activate the [[Giant Robosa]]. After this point, Salem is not seen or mentioned again, but the Salem disguise is seen as Wilfre's dies0.
