The Monkey Kid is first seen when [[Zsasha]] infiltrates the [[Treetop Village]] looking for the [[Crystal Mask]]. As a troupe of [[Monkey]]s carry him up to the [[Monkey King]], Zsasha overhears the Monkey King telling his son that he promises to find some friends for his son in [[Rapoville]]. When the Monkeys arrive at the top of the tower, the Monkey Kid is distracted by the [[Fanon:Angry God's Shield|shield]] Zsasha was carrying.

Eventually, Circi spots the Monkey Kid and kidnaps him, using him as a hostage for the Crystal Mask. The Monkey King agrees to give it to her if she returns his son, so she sets the Monkey Kid down. Just then, Zsasha pushes Circi over the edge of the tower and tells the Monkey Kid to run through the World Gate. He obliges and runs through the gate to Rapoville, hiding in Zsasha's abandoned house.
