The Crystal Mask is an item in Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter (Wii) that is found in Jangala and used by Circi to create the Bad Mannequin. It is one of the Artifacts of Power.

TowerIcon.png Appearance[edit]

The Crystal Mask is a triangular mask that seems to not have any visible holes in they eyes or mouth. It has was looks like yellow feathers coming from the top of the mask. The base of the mask is yellow, has red decals on the forehead, nose, and mouth sections of the mask, and has blue decals on the eye sections.

Book Icon.png Story[edit]

The Monkey King was the owner of the Crystal Mask, which made him a person of interest for Circi and presumably Wilfre. It is assumed that she sent Shadow Walkers to the Treetop Village to take the mask, and the Monkey King locked himself away in his throne room with Zsasha and the mask.

When some monkeys steal the Banya crops from Farmer Brown, Jowee, Mari, and Circi wonder why the Monkey King would allow his subjects to cause mischief, and Jowee and the Hero go investigate. Eventually, the two show up inside the King's throne room and defeat the Shadow Walkers. The Monkey King, grateful for their help, releases Zsasha and gives them the Crystal Mask.

Eventually, the group come across Wilfre's Journal and read about his plan to assemble the Artifacts of Power to rival the Creator in terms of power. The group gathers the rest of the Artifacts and Circi double-crosses the Raposa, forming the Bad Mannequin. She tries to draw Wilfre's likeness onto the mannequin, but forgets what he looks like, accidentally forming the Giant Scribble Monster.

During the fight, the Hero must attack the mask three times while it is detached from the mannequin. When it returns to the mannequin, the Hero must ground pound the mask a total of 25 times. Once this happens, the mannequin floats into the air as the Shadow fades from the village and it explodes.

After this fight, the Creator gathers the Artifacts of Power and tosses them into the sea.

Trivia[edit]

  • According to multiple production documents in the package shared by Ken Capelli, the Crystal Mask was originally called the "Jeweled Mask."
