Some time later, Mari decided to hire [[Circi]], a [[Raposa]] who fled [[Rapoville]], as her Deputy Mayor. The two of them worked together for some time when the [[Book of Life]] goes missing. Currently overwhelmed by the current affairs of the village, still rebuilding from [[Wilfre]]'s damages, she asks the [[Creator]] to give them a new [[Hero]]. The Creator agrees, and a Hero is granted to the village. Hearing from [[Heather]] that [[Crazy Barks]] took the Book, Mari sends Circi and the Hero to find him. After they find Crazy Barks protecting the Book, Circi asks why the Book is so important, so Mari explains the history of Wilfre and her [[Mayor|father]] to Circi.
