The Shadow Hole is a location that appears in Blank Slates and Blank Slates 2, found in The Void and formerly run by Shadow Mari. After its first closure, it was hidden by the Two Realms Plains. The Shadow Squid would eventually rip the Shadow Hole open once more, but it was quickly sealed once again.
Appearance
The Shadow Hole is quite literally just a hole in the void. It has shadowy tendrils latching onto the void's floor as well.
Story
Before Blank Slates
The Shadow Hole was created when Mayo collected all the Shadow that was sent to the void after being scrubbed in Drawn to Life[1] and created the hole for Shadow Mari to use as a base of operations. The Hole also became home to all the cut Shadow and Ink enemies from throughout the Drawn to Life Series.
Blank Slates
Shadow Mari first uses the void to send beams of Shadow throughout the void. One of these beams strikes and kills Willham, while the rest all land in different spots in the void, springing up locations and landmarks. Some of these beams land in Lavasteam's unused color vat, allowing the locations and landmarks to be colored in, giving life to everything that had been risen up. Shadow Mari then retreats back to the Hole.
The next time we see the Shadow Hole is before the battle between Shadow Mari and the residents of the void.
