Over 300 years after the end of Wilfre's rein, the Raposa inhabit a vast and inter-connected world rivaling that of early 90s human society. Unlike centuries past, magic has become lost knowledge among the public conscious and its memory marred by Wilfre's calamity. Despite a magical past, Raposa of this generation see magic as nothing more than an archaic science to be replaced with modern sensibilities and technology. 

However, with the unexpected resurgence of magic, these perspectives begin to shift as governments scramble to adapt to the quickly-changing world. To make matters worse, rumors of a new Raposa with control over the Shadow begin to spread. With concerns rising as the world increasingly becomes unstable, Rapokind must choose between the mundane and the magical.

== Material Used ==
This AU explores the Raposa world far before and after the events of both DS games, while interpreting the content in a realistic light. Though this AU tries to stay as close to the source material as possible—expanding upon it without contradiction—it predates two of the three canon games. While themes from ''Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter'' are used, the overall plot is largely incompatible with this universe. ''Drawn to Life: Two Realms'' is completely ignored. 

There are some other caveats. Namely...
# Mike, or any other human, does not exist.
# Wilfre does not return from the dead at any point. 
# Magic is weird. There are some shenanigans that exceed the complexity of the series lore.
# Some objects and areas are renamed to fit better with the feel of the universe (eg. Rapoville → Capital).
# Being more realistic, most child-like elements from the series are reworked to better fit the theme.
