Raposa are the main playable race of the Bound to Life mod, based on the Raposa seen within the Drawn to Life Series. Raposa are anthropomorphic, fox-like beings, defined by human-like faces, fur covered bodies, and tall upright ears. Raposa hail from their planet Neve, which can only be visited through Warp Gates found on some planets.

As a newly space-faring race, Raposa have not yet been officially accepted into the Terrene Protectorate, although some individuals have successfully become members. Like Humans, Raposa have not extensively colonized planets outside of their homeworld, making encounters with Raposa outside of Neve rare.

Raposa have a deep-seated belief in the Creator and embrace a rustic style of living unusual for advanced societies. Believing to have been "drawn to life" by their Creator, Raposa society highly values art of all forms. Overall, Raposa are optimistic, jovial, and a bit naive. This combination of factors leads to the Raposa being underestimated by other intelligent races, despite not being as technologically behind as they may outwardly seem.

Though not as technologically advanced as some races, like Apex, Raposa are masters of magic and are the only intelligent beings able to use magic without Wands or Staffs (although some still do use these tools). In fact, Raposa are the primary manufacturer of magic-based tools and weaponry found throughout the universe.

Raposa as the player character[edit]

As with the other player races, Raposa characters are given a set of uniquely-styled Armors, and their own Ship type (with included pet Baki). Most Raposa equipment has a distinctly whimsical look to it, though their stats are the same for all other race's equipment at the same Tier.

Crafted weapons are the same for all races, save for the pistol-packing Novakid.

Starter Clothing[edit]

A Raposa player has three sets of race-specific Starter Clothing to choose from in the Character Creator, plus the standard-issue Protectorate T-Shirt and Protectorate Vest. These items have no defensive capabilities whatsoever. These four sets are also used to clothe randomly-generated Raposa NPC villagers.
