Development of '''''Drawn to Life''''' began on the Game Boy Advance under the name '''''Jowee & Mari's Grand Adventure''''', which would've been essentially the same game but with Jowee & Mari being playable instead of the hero and the drawing mechanics being limited to the handheld's D-Pad and buttons. The game was set to release in July 2005, but because Nintendo announced they'd lesson support for the system around the same time, the prototype was copied and then shifted over to the Nintendo DS, where it was revamped as '''''Drawn to Life'''''. The original prototype was wiped soon after the shift, but rumours came around about the prototype being completed beforehand.

*This installment was David J Francos' favourite soundtrack that he composed, he was around 22 and he enjoyed focusing on just melodies. It put a smile on his face while he was composing it, and it puts a smile on his face listening to it still.
