While living in Belleview, both he and [[Aly]] were called back into the Developer's Grove by Shadow Mari and Joe. After a brief reunion, Joe tells them that the Droogle Leader had run away with his sword, and that they couldn't return to the void. Joe then asks them to find [[User:GuyThatExists/Jeremiah Slaczka|Jeremiah Slaczka]], who had left into Belleview after the development of [[Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter]]. Franco asks who he disguised himself as, and Joe reveals that he was [[User:GuyThatExists/Mr. Row|Mr. Row]], [[Mike]]'s father who had died in the car accident. After adopting the persona of [[User:GuyThatExists/Daniel James|Daniel James]], Franco is sent to [[User:GuyThatExists/Timeline#2007|2007]] to find him.

They then find Shadow Mari waiting inside a car, and the two of them get inside and drive to the carnival.
