While the game wasn't as well-recieved with critics, the game was a commercial success. It remains as the second best-selling game in the series, beaten only by [[Drawn to Life: SpongeBob SquarePants Edition]].

Sales numbers of the game are rather obscure, but according to THQ's fiscal year report, the game sold over 1 million copies<ref>[https://last10k.com/sec-filings/thqi/0001047469-10-005774.htm THQ Fiscal Annual Report, March 2010]</ref>. However, with the Wii counterpart selling more units than the DS version and the versions not specified, it is speculated that the units of both are combined.
