Skate, along with the rest of the [[Fanon:Four Guardians|Four Guardians]], was originally [[Fanon:Monk|Monk]], a third screener with the ability to change things. After Monk split themself into four beings, Skate began working with the other screeners on ''[[Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter]]''. Just before [[Fanon:The Void|The Void]] was shut down, Skate transferred her smoke into [[Unused & Removed Features/DTL1#Fire Bill|Fire Bill]], creating Hose. When The Void was restarted for ''[[Drawn to Life: Two Realms]]'', Hose was tasked with lowering beings into The Void after they were cut or deemed unused.

Skate was originally one of four pieces of [[Fanon:Monk|Monk]], a screener who split themself up to make development easier on them. As the development of ''[[Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter]]'' and ''[[Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter (Wii)]]'' neared completion, Skate, along with the other pieces of Monk, opted to hide their human bodies in [[Fanon:Warrior's Castle|Warrior's Castle]], taking the bodies of four [[Raposa]] instead. Skate became Hose after inhabiting Fire Bill's body, and when The Void was shut down, Hose feel into a deep sleep. Eventually, The Void was restarted for ''[[Drawn to Life: Two Realms]]'' development, and Hose awoke with the other screeners. Now calling the four piece of Monk the [[Fanon:Four Guardians|Four Guardians]], they began helping [[Fanon:Willham|Willham]], [[Fanon:Mayo|Mayo]], and [[Fanon:Joseph Tringali|Joseph Tringali]] with development decisions.
