Sushi is first seen when Click has his first cabinet meeting, where Sushi is named Secretary of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, Click tells him that he would be a liaison for not only Mari, but also the other mayors throughout the realm. Sushi understands, and after learning that Mari, Jowee, and Sock were all in the Jungle to help with the first cabinet meeting, he writes their initials on his paper next to the date, somehow knowing that Sock was Wilfre. He is also asked to work with Makaia, Click's Secretary of the Guard, to establish a guard that emulates the Royal Guards of Watersong and Lavasteam.
