Alaka'i ran again in the fifth election cycle, where he beat Click with 53.4% of the votes. After his victory was announced, Alaka'i came into Click's office to gloat, angering him and the [[Kamalah|members]] [[Fanon:Erlanger|of his]] [[Fanon:Makaia|cabinet]]. He gets into direct conflict with [[Fanon:Makaia|Makaia]], but tells him that he would be in charge for the next four years no matter what. Makaia backs off, and Alaka'i leaves. As he is about to descend a flight of stairs to return to the building's lobby, Makaia sneaks up behind him and shoves him down, breaking most of Alaka'i's bones. As he loses consciousness, he hears Makaia gloat back to him.
