Lock and Lydia barricade themselves into Key's lab, and they wake up Celia, asking her how many times they had wiped her memory. When Celia tells them that it had been nearly fifty times, Lock and Lydia panic. As they discuss what they should do next, Celia manages to open the door, letting Aguara break in. However, he lets Lock run away.

When he steps out of the bathroom, he discovers Key bleeding out in the hallway, causing the partygoers to panic. Lock runs over to him and begs him not to die, trying to get him to move, but Key dies in his arms. Inconsolable, Lock is pulled away by [[Rose]] and taken outside.
Once they are out of the palace, they are joined by [[Fanon:Moseus|Moseus]], [[Fanon:Meeny|Meeny]], and [[Fanon:Angelia|Angelia]], who all watch as the palace explodes and crumbles to the ground. Ruby suddenly appears to tell the group that [[Miney]] was dead, and out of rage, Lock lunges at them. However, Ruby catches him and holds him away, telling him that both Aguara and they would let him live, and to not make them regret it.
