Shortly before or sometime during the events of ''[[Drawn to Life]]'', the people of Belleview invited a carnival into town, which set up on the town's outskirts. One day, the [[Mike|Row]] [[Heather|Family]] decides to visit the carnival. After winning dolls resembling [[Mari]] and [[Jowee]], the family leaves and the weather worsens. [[Deputy Snyder]] was also going to the carnival at the time, and a head-on collision almost occurred between the two cars. However, [[Mike]]'s father swerved his car out of the way, flipping the vehicle - a decision which resulting in his death, his wife's death, Mike's comatose state, and severe damage to [[Heather]]'s face.

One day, the [[Mike|Row]] [[Heather|Family]] decides to visit the carnival. After winning dolls resembling [[Mari]] and [[Jowee]], the family leaves and the weather worsens. [[Deputy Snyder]] was also going to the carnival at the time, and a head-on collision almost occurred between the two cars. However, [[Mike]]'s father swerved his car out of the way, flipping the vehicle - a decision which resulted in the death of him and his wife, Mike's coma, and severe damage to the left side of [[Heather]]'s face.  

Some time later, while Heather is still bandaged, Mike had lived the events of ''Drawn to Life'' and ''[[Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter]]'' and wakes up thanks to the [[Creator]]. This event coincides with the expulsion of [[Shadow]] from the [[Raposa]] realm, trapping it in the [[Human]] realm. During the funeral for Mr. and Mrs. Row, [[Aldark]], the new leader of the Shadow, begins corrupting the villagers' minds, causing a brawl to occur at the funeral. The Row kids moved in with [[Uncle Owen]], and Mike began harboring a grudge against Deputy Snyder.

Some time later, while Heather is still bandaged, Mike experienced the events of ''Drawn to Life'' and ''[[Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter]]'' before waking up with the help of the [[Creator]]. This event coincides with the expulsion of [[Shadow]] from the [[Raposa]] realm, trapping it in the [[Human]] realm. Both of the Row kids end up moving in with their [[Uncle Owen]]. During the funeral for Mr. and Mrs. Row, [[Aldark]], the new leader of the Shadow, begins corrupting Mike and the other villagers' minds, causing a brawl to occur at the funeral.

Four years later, Mike is held up by [[Tony]] and [[Teo]], demanding his scooter. However, the [[Hero]] appears in Belleview using the [[Book of Imagination]] and challenges Tony to an Imagination Battle, clearing the Shadow from his mind. The Hero would befriend Mike and go on to clear more and more Shadow from the town, clearing the minds of [[Heather]], [[Bruce]], [[Dr. Curie]], and [[Aly]] to name a few. During this time, the Hero also has encounters with Aldark and his minions.  

Four years later, Mike is held up by [[Tony]] and [[Teo]], demanding his scooter. However, the [[Hero]] appears in Belleview using the [[Book of Imagination]] and challenges Tony to an Imagination Battle, clearing the Shadow from his mind. The Hero would befriend Mike and go on to clear more and more Shadow from the town, clearing the minds of [[Heather]], [[Bruce]], [[Dr. Curie]], and [[Aly]] to name a few. During this time, the Hero also has encounters with Aldark and his minions.

This confrontation draws a crowd outside the [[Police Station]]. The Hero clears the shadow from Deputy Snyder's mind and Mike's mind, and the two make amends. The Hero then leaves to face Aldark head on. However, before their confrontation, Aldark reveals the existence of the Shadow to all the villagers, sending his minions to terrorize them. Once the Hero defeats Aldark in an Imagination Battle, the Shadow retreats from Belleview, but promises to always be lurking.

After a few days of the Hero helping Mike evade the Shadows, Aldark messing with Mike's relationships, and Mike travelling between the Human and Raposa realms, Mike finds out from Aldark that Deputy Snyder was the driver in the other car and decides to confront him.
