An overhaul update to the demo released on October 8th, altering the PVP mode to be competitive-based. Major additions include opt-in jobs, a leaderboard for the group, important info on the left-side of the screen such as the timer and goal, tickets to purchase cosmetics earned by beating others in jobs done within weeks, a new Imp challenge serving as a new form of combat job, and a two-player minimum for PVP content. A sandbox mode was also added for a casual playthrough with no money or time requirements, though this demo doesn't allow access to it.

Broke Wizards would see a grand total of 50,000 wishlists on Steam and the Epic Games Store prior to release. The game released on October 28th to a similarly mixed reception; while there were players who found some fun with both the PVP and Sandbox modes, particularly with the side activities, a number of others noted a number of issues present in the final game, mainly technical issues that prevented players from adding friends to a lobby and different glitches not present in the demo.
