Fearful of failing her creation mandate and full of self-doubt, Veila adopted meditation to cope. This habit led to a surprising outcome for the young Raposa when she accidentally conjured a ball of light whilst meditating one night. Having discovered magic, Veila finally found her purpose: to master the art and mentor her village. Veila spent the remainder of her free time studying the art. She learned quickly: Having been created to become an expert magician, understanding came naturally to Veila. After a short year, Veila—now 18—was a master and began teaching her proud village.
