I think with the amount of new information we are receiving from looking at internal documents/game files/etc, it's a good idea to have a set of priority naming conventions to follow. I've seen other wikis with them but can't find any right now, so here's my idea for what it should be:
Not Conjecture
1. In-game info boxes (pop-ups, collection counters, menu pages)
2. In-game dialogue (characters referring to things)
3. Promotional Materials (websites, commercials, boxart)
4. Game files
5. Internal Documents (GDDs, leaks, etc.)
Conjecture (don't add category)
6. Descriptive names of new entries in old species (i.e. Masked Bonobo, Green Baki) edited to add this entry
Conjecture (add category)
7. Popular fan names (i.e. Anchorpus, Fiora, Lambert)
8. Descriptive names (i.e. Baki Miner, Helmet Dragon)
Typically, 1. and 2. will overlap, but in the strange case where some villagers call Galactic Jungle "Space Jungle" and a RapoGirl mentions "Fortune", 1. should be prioritized. I would put 3. above both of those, but with a Teeter on the boxart of Two Realms (and my distrust of 505 with this franchise), it feels better suited under in-game things. 4. and 5. will also typically overlap, but Internal Documents typically use dev names for things, while the game files tend to be closer to the final names of entities. Once we leave the realm of internal documents, I feel like that's when we should start adding the "Article Conjecture" category to pages.
What do you guys think of this new system? It's going to me my methodology from here on out, and I plan on renaming some pages tomorrow to higher ranked names (i.e. Mecha Baki (7) --> Clockwork Baki (4) ), so please let me know if you guys have any suggestions.
