The theory that Jowee wears on pants in the original DS games as stylistic choice is false, for the "brown" on the lower half of Jowee's sprite is so the sprite would'nt have looked 'flat' had it been colored completely orange. The coat of arms is the only time Jowee has had shorts on. Jowee has had official character design artwork to further support where his in game sprite's appearance is based off of. Drawn to life has been inconsistent about male characters weaing on pants but for Jowee specifically he has an actual character design.

I was saying the wiki have no other sources other than that stylistic choice is just a fan theory. Ask 5th cell writers on information about that if you are looking for information regarding this discussion.

It does, namely that _every other male raposa in the games wears pants_. There is no reason for Jowee to be an exception. No orange fur is colored this shade of brown in any other sprite in the game.

You're one to say 5th cell should provide sources. I said that the wiki has stylistic choice as a theory, and having the discord doesn't proof anything because you may not have original writers from 5th Cell give citation for you to use. The wiki can prove people wrong over an opinion but then to have the nerve claiming sources are needed.
Okay, this has gone on long enough.
Let me try to re-explain Alph's point: based on the sprites themselves, most of the male Raposa in the first Drawn to Life likely used a similar design template for all the sprites, with a lot of the pixel structure reused - and that includes Jowee. Brown pants is also a commonality with Raposa sprites with many characters wearing them, and the fact he wears them here may indicate Jowee's sprite was simply following said template. Not to mention the sprites were designed before the portraits, a fact which, if I remember correctly, was confirmed by Chern Fai.
The fact the artwork in the games is inconsistent at times is not worth spending this much time debating with others over
