The Shadow Hole was created when [[User:GuyThatExists/Mayo|Mayo]] collected all the [[Shadow]] that was sent to the void after being scrubbed in [[Drawn to Life]]<ref>"He did tell us that one day, the shadow just started cropping up in random places. Shadow Mari first uses the void to send beams of Shadow throughout the void. One of these beams strikes and kills [[User:GuyThatExists/Willham|Willham]], while the rest all land in different spots in the void, springing up locations and landmarks. Some of these beams land in [[Lavasteam]]'s unused color vat, allowing the locations and landmarks to be colored in, giving life to everything that had been risen up. Shadow Mari then retreats back to the Hole.

Later on, the [[User:GuyThatExists/Two Realms Plains|Two Realms Plains]] were created where the Shadow Hole once was, and when the [[User:GuyThatExists/Shadow Squid|Shadow Squid]] is created in the plains, it uses its tentacles to rip open the ground, revealing the Shadow Hole again. After being defeated, the Shadow Squid descends into the hole, sealing it once more.
