By the time the hero arrives, Aldark has already begun his plans to manipulate Mike. Although Mike is happy to once again see his Raposa friends, his mental health turns sour once Aldark manipulates Mike's only human friend, [[Aly]], into abandoning him. For a time, Mike is indispensable, but with the help of the Raposa, the hero, and the townsfolk of Belleview, Mike is able to overcome his inner demons and confront Aldark. In the end, the hero and Mike are successful, defeating Aldark, who fades away while predicting the eventual return of the Shadow.
