The Shadow Hole was created when [[User:GuyThatExists/Mayo|Mayo]] collected all the [[Shadow]] that was sent to the void after being scrubbed in [[Drawn to Life]]<ref>"He did tell us that one day, the shadow just started cropping up in random places. It seemed to happen in clusters according to him, almost like someone was cleaning it up and sending to this expanse." -[[User:GuyThatExists/Jinxy|Jinxy]] <small>(Quoting [[User:GuyThatExists/Willham|Willham]])</ref> and created the hole for [[User:GuyThatExists/Shadow Mari|Shadow Mari]] to use as a base of operations. The Hole also became home to all the cut Shadow and Ink enemies from throughout the [[Drawn to Life Series]].
Shadow Mari first uses the void to send beams of Shadow throughout the void. One of these beams strikes and kills [[User:GuyThatExists/Willham|Willham]], while the rest all land in different spots in the void, springing up locations and landmarks. Some of these beams land in [[Lavasteam]]'s unused color vat, allowing the locations and landmarks to be colored in, giving life to everything that had been risen up. Shadow Mari then retreats back to the Hole.
The next time we see the Shadow Hole is before the battle between Shadow Mari and the residents of the void. During the fight, [[User:GuyThatExists/Jinxy|Jinxy]], [[User:GuyThatExists/Drakon|Drakon]], and the [[User:GuyThatExists/Droogle Killer|Droogle Killer]] all fall into the hole, transporting them to the [[Developer's Grove]]. After Mayo reveals herself to be the mastermind behind the attack on the void, Shadow Mari takes a step back and explains the situation to Willham. Some time after this, [[User:GuyThatExists/Droogle|Droogles]] begin to appear in the void thanks to an attack from Jinxy and the Droogle Killer. Willham and Shadow Mari kill the Droogle Killer, capture the [[User:GuyThatExists/Droogle Leader|Droogle Leader]], and fly into the Shadow Hole, permanently closing it.
