Fiora is a Raposa who was used during the initial development of Watersong but was later cut from the final version of the game. Despite this, she can still be found within the games data. Although the community has accepted her name as "Fiora", there has been no evidence as of yet that this was the intended name for this character. This name was first used by Spriter's Resource user nya, who submitted the sprites for both Fiora and Lambert to the website.

Mildew[edit]

Mildew.png

MildewSprites.png

There is concept art of a Lavasteam Raposa named Mildew that doesn't appear in the game.

He's a dirty and dusty orange furred Raposa that wears dark green pants, a light green shirt, and a yellow undershirt. His green shirt is worn out and has several rips and tears; exposing the yellow shirt underneath. Mildew also wears a trashcan lid as a hat.

There are also sprites of Mildew located on Chern Fai's website. Here, Mildew's shirt is brown instead of green.

The way dirt is depicted on Mildew's concept art could be a reference to the character Pig-Pen from the Peanuts comic strip.

Mildew eventually reappeared in Drawn to Life: Two Realms. To find out more, visit Mildew.

On November 17th, 2020, Joseph Tringali shared 5 unused sets of sprites for Sock - Alts 3, 4, 6, 7, and Santa. He stated that there were around 7 scrapped designs for Sock. On May, 9th, 2023, Chern Fai shared the rest of the unused sprites - Alts 1, 2, 5, Blue, Grey, Longsock, and Suggestions.

Alternate Moe Sprites[edit]

MoeUnusedSprites.png

There are alternate Moe sprites located on Chern Fai's website. Moe's fur in these sprites has light brown highlights, which are grey in the final version.

It is unknown why this change was made, or if was even intentional.

Alternate Crazy Diggz Sprites[edit]

CrazyDiggzSprites.png

There are alternate Crazy Diggz sprites located on Chern Fai's website. His eyes in these sprites are slanted instead of resembling Crazy Barks' eyes.

The existence of these sprites either imply that this is early spritework, or that Crazy Diggz was at one point going to appear as a more 'normal' Raposa in the game.

Alternate Flint Sprites[edit]

EarlyFlintSprites.png

There are alternate Flint sprites located on Chern Fai's website. While very similar to the final version, these sprites feature Flint in a slightly different outfit. One of the more noticeable differences is that these unused sprites feature more dark brown along his gloves and hard hat. Another difference is that the unused 'Behind' sprite doesn't show the light on his hard hat like the final version.

Brown Lavasteam Worker[edit]

BrownRapoSprites.png

There are unused sprites of a Lavasteam Raposa located on Chern Fai's website.

He has brown fur, and wears blue suspenders with a white undershirt.

His outfit seems to be the same as Key's outfit. However, Moe has the same outfit but recolored. The colors of Moe's outfit are mostly the opposite of this Raposa's. Another similarity to Moe is that he appears to have the exact same fur colors as Moe's alternate sprites. The amount of similarities to Moe might mean that this Raposa is either related to Moe, or is a younger version of Moe. Though, it's also possible that this is an unused Key sprite and his fur colour was changed for unknown reasons.

Grey Raposa[edit]

GreyRapoSprites.png

There are unused sprites of a Raposa located on Chern Fai's website.

He has light grey fur, and wears the same outfit as a generic male Raposa from the first game. However, the same generic sprite is used as a base for multiple characters. It is very likely that the outfit is due to the sprites being unfinished.

While the purpose of this Raposa is unknown, he was grouped alongside a bunch of Lavasteam Raposa on Chern Fai's website, implying he was supposed to be from there.

This Raposa could've been another Lavasteam worker, maybe an even earlier version of Flint, however it's also possible that this Raposa is a younger version of Miney or related to him. While that might be a stretch based on these sprites alone, there are unused sprites that could potentially belong to a younger version of his brother Moe.

Shadow Mari[edit]

MariShadow.gif

During one of Jowee's dreams late in the game, Heather and Mari get covered with shadow and merge together to form Wilfre.

Both characters had transformation sprites and idle sprites of them covered in shadow. However, the idle sprite of 'shadow Mari' isn't used in the game. Instead an idle sprite of shadow Wilfre is used.

The reason behind this is unknown.

Enemies[edit]

Beta Galactic Jungle Enemies[edit]

Spacejungle enemies.jpg

On November 13th, 2020, Joseph Tringali shared some concept art and cut content for Drawn to Life, Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter, and Drawn to Life: Two Realms. Among them was a sheet of unused and beta designs for many Galactic Jungle enemies. Some of these include what looks like a form of Pilot Bird and a smaller, more mobile version of the King.

Alternate Jazz Fish[edit]

On November 13th, 2020, Joseph Tringali shared some concept art and cut content for Drawn to Life, Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter, and Drawn to Life: Two Realms. Some of this information was a cut Boss from The Next Chapter, known internally as "Dinofrog." Dinofrog was also previously seen on Chern Fai's website, using the first frame of an unknown animation.

Rocket Vulture[edit]

RVSprites.png

There is an unused sprite of a cut boss found on Chern Fai's website. It appears to be a large vulture tied to a rocket. It is unknown what would it would have appeared in, but some fans theorize that it could have been the boss of the cut "Windy Village." According to Fai, it has no name other than "Rocket Vulture".

Beta Queen and King[edit]

QKConcept.jpg

On November 13th, 2020, Joseph Tringali shared some concept art and cut content for Drawn to Life, Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter, and Drawn to Life: Two Realms. Among them was a sheet of beta designs for the King, and concept art of the two forms of the Queen.

Creations[edit]

Collapsing Platform[edit]

ColPlatBeta.gif

An unused animation of the Collapsing Platform disintegrating can be found in the files of Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter. The design of the platform is slightly different than that of the preset, so it can be assumed that the Collapsing Platform was originally not meant to be a creation.

Unknown Creation[edit]

UnknownPincerTemplate.png

This template, found with the other templates in the game's files. It appears as two, white, pincer-like objects. The actual creation it correlates to is unknown, as in the file listing all the creation names, it is only listed as "TURBORING 2", a duplicate of the actual Turbo Ring 2 creation. In the file containing descriptions for the creations, it's description is once again a duplicate of Turbo Ring 2.

Unused Templates[edit]

UnknownOrbTemplate.png

Multiple unused templates were found among the used templates in the game's files. Six of these templates have been matched to creations in the final game, but two of them have not.

Lavabridge[edit]

The Lavabridge template, clearly unfinished, is a white drawstring bridge.

Cave Monster[edit]

The Cave Monster template appears as a scaly, blue monster. It has two green spikes on its back, two horns on its head, and thin red eyes.

Watersong Bird[edit]

The Watersong Bird template, slightly unfinished and possibly based on a vulture, is a blue-feathered bird with a red head.

Boat[edit]

The Boat template, also clearly unfinished, is a dark blue, crudely drawn sailboat.

Lighthouse[edit]

The Lighthouse template, slightly unfinished, is a tall, red and grey striped lighthouse with a blue dome.

Statue[edit]

The Statue template is a statue of Drew, the poster design for the Hero throughout the series.

Planet[edit]

The Planet template is a smoky, purple orb.

Unused Creation Descriptions[edit]

2 descriptions for unused creations have been found in the game's files listed after the used descriptions:

  • Comet: A shooting star. Something that every Raposa eagerly awaits to make a wish on.
  • Guarding Item: Crazy Diggz needs something to guard. Draw him something!

Locations[edit]

Windy Village[edit]

Windyvillage.jpg

On November 13th, 2020, Joseph Tringali shared some concept art and cut content for Drawn to Life, Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter, and Drawn to Life: Two Realms. According to him, this "Windy Village" was a planned world 5 that was eventually cut. It apparently never got past the concept phase.

On November 13th, 2020, Joseph Tringali shared some concept art and cut content for Drawn to Life, Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter, and Drawn to Life: Two Realms. Among these was a concept sketch of Lavasteam page 1. Some significant differences include some extra houses, the lack of Clockwork Tower, and some extra elevated areas not seen in the final game.

Alternate Lavasteam Pages[edit]

Early Page 1.jpg

Early Page 2.jpg

Page03 color.jpg

There are a couple alternate versions of Lavasteam's pages. Not only are there a few differences between these and the final version (level locations and numbers not matching with the final version), there is a third page which was scrapped completely.

Text[edit]

Post-Treetop Turrets Galactic Jungle Barks[edit]

Four lines of dialogue have been found for Galactic Jungle NPCs meant to trigger after Galactic Jungle's story was complete. Due to the way these are stored in the game, it is unknown which lines belong to which character, though one line is known to be Hoaka's due to his relation with Kamalah.

Map Minigame[edit]

86.png

On November 13th, 2020, Joseph Tringali shared some concept art and cut content for Drawn to Life, Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter, and Drawn to Life: Two Realms. Among them was an image of a cut Map screen. According to the snippet of the Game Design Document he sent, the player would have to color the islands they wished to visit, and then draw a path from Turtle Rock to the desired island, avoid enemies like a "Moby Slick" or the "Dark Harbinger."

Real Life Still[edit]

Ending 12 03.jpg

On November 13th, 2020, Joseph Tringali shared some concept art and cut content for Drawn to Life, Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter, and Drawn to Life: Two Realms. One of these images was a work-in-progress still of Heather hugging Mike as seen during the credits sequence of the game. Using knowledge gained from Drawn to Life: Two Realms, Deputy Snyder, Dr. Curie, and an unknown man can be seen in the background.

Multiplayer Minigames[edit]

Minigames.png

A Gamespot preview posted on May 27, 2009 detailed that TNC featured playable multiplayer minigames, though they were presumably cut for unknown reasons. Little is known about what the Minigames are, and no other information is known about them.
