The Beach is a location in the northernmost part of Rapoville in Drawn to Life and Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter, the westernmost part of Rapoville in Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter (Wii), and the southwesternmost part of Rapoville in Drawn to Life: Two Realms.
It is where the Lighthouse can be seen, and where Pirate Beard's ship comes to dock in the port when it first arrives. The villagers come there to play often after the Hero retrieves the Beach Toys Template, as beforehand they said it was too empty and boring. Throughout the series, many adventurous characters can be found here.
Story[edit]
Before Drawn to Life[edit]
Before the events of Drawn to Life, the Creator had gifted the village the Lighthosue to help ships navigate into the Docks unharmed. Shortly before the Darkness overtook the beach, a ship began approaching the Docks, but was overtaken by the Darkness.
Drawn to Life[edit]
The beach is first mentioned after Deadwood's defeat. Mayor asks the Creator to clear the Darkness in the northern part of the village, revealing the beach and the Beach Gate to the player. When the Hero tries to enter the gate, they are stopped by Samuel, who gives the player a page from the Book of Life containing the Flippers. Equipped with the Flippers, the Hero returns to the beach to find Mari and Jowee finding a message in a bottle. When they pull the paper out, they realize that they had found the Starzooka page from the Book of Life.
After creating the Starzooka, Mayor and the Hero start receiving complaints from the villagers, saying that the beach was too boring, so the Hero goes to Surf Beach to find a Template page for Beach Toys. The Hero returns with the template and Crazy Barks's crew. They are met by Heather, who sends them to Mayor, who welcomes them back to the village. The Creator then makes the Beach Toys, placing them near the water. This prompts most of the village to go play on the beach, leaving the Hero to find Mari. However, the beach was too crowded for her, so she heads to the Secret Beach nearby.
On a mission for Kori Trees, the Hero rescues Bubba and his caretakers, reuniting them with Tubba at the Beach Gate. Tubba and Bubba then move into a house just south of the beach together. Later, Mari asks the Hero to find Jowee and invite him to the Secret Beach. The Hero finds him on the beach, digging for treasure with Heather. Jowee then leaves for the Secret Beach, leaving Heather to keep digging on the beach alone. However, she follows him in secret.
After finding the template for the Epic Statue in Angle Isle, the Hero returns Indee and his family to the village, meeting with Jowee at the Beach Gate. Jowee is starstruck, and later joins Indee on the beach to get some pointers on treasure hunting. Indee asks the Hero to clear the Darkness from the eastern half of the beach, revealing the Boat House, the Docks, the abandoned ship, and an uncolored Lighthouse.
The Hero travels through the Conch Ruins to find the template for the Lighthouse, and discovers Pirate Beard and his crew along the way. When returning them to the village, the Mayor decides to give them the ship at the Docks in exchange for not plundering the village. The Creator restores the Lighthouse, allowing the ship to sail into the Docks, but this reveals the Angler King lurking nearby. Before being able to enter the Beach Gate to fight the Angler King, the Hero is stopped by Wilfre, who asks the Hero why they continue to help the Raposa. However, the Hero pushes past him and enters the gate. After the Angler King's defeat, the Hero returns to the village with Count Choco and the template for the Kaorin Bushes.
Much later, after the Mayor's death and Wilfre's defeat, Jowee decides to go on an adventure with Pirate Beard. Mari and Jowee say goodbye at the Docks, and Mari leaves to reminisce on her life. She watches the ship leave the village, but is shocked to see that Jowee decided to stay behind with her.
Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter (Wii)[edit]
This Section of Beach Contains Non-Canon Content! |
The beach is first visited in Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter (Wii) when Jowee and the Hero need to visit the Monkey King. They ask Pirate Beard for a map, but he tells them that he had lost it over the Jangala Falls. They later visit the beach to use the Icy Wastes Gate in search of the Eternal Furnace. They also visit when Circi and Mike lament about the broken Lighthouse, asking the Hero to visit the Roab Plateaus to find a Jar of Lightning Bugs.
Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter[edit]
The beach is only seen during the beginning of the game, when Pirate Beard, Crazy Barks, Mike, Isaac, Cindi, Mari, and Jowee attempt to escape Rapoville before all of the Color is drained. Pirate Beard plans on using his ship, but learns that it had been stolen, so the Creator sends Turtle Rock to pick the villagers up.
Drawn to Life: Two Realms[edit]
Four years later, Pirate Beard, Indee, and Unagi plan on going on an adventure but are too lazy to get any planning done. Mari sends the Hero to go help them using the Book of Imagination, and they successfully invigorate them. Pirate Beard then asks the Hero to go visit NavyJ, who was planning on having a concert, but getting stage fright. After Aldark's defeat, the three Raposa set sail on their adventure.
