George Washington Bush is a Human that appears in the short story Bavel's Diary as a supporting character. He was a member of a wagon trail from Kansas City to New Market, led by his friend Michael Simmons, and rode with the family of Robert Row, among others. At New Market, Bush would be one of the few to meet Bavel, a Raposa, and learn about his culture.
Appearance
George Bush was an adult male human with dark hair that grew down into a thick beard. For his sketch, he would wear a suit jacket with a buttoned shirt of some kind.
Story
Before Bavel's Diary
George Bush was born in Pennsylvania, though he would later move to Missouri. Here, he would be married and would eventually join Michael Simmons' wagon train north. Bush's navigational, packing, and trapping skills proved invaluable on their journey, so he was named the Deputy Mayor of New Market, the place where the train settled.
Bavel's Diary
Bavel first mentions Bush after appearing in the Human realm from the Book of Imagination. According to him, Michael Simmons' party, including Bush, drew their weapons on Bavel, but lowered them when Bavel plead his case to them. On the last day of Bavel's stay, he, Bush, and Simmons would discuss leadership methods and practices. This conversation would eventually inspire Bavel to create the Deputy Mayor position in Rapoville, first adopted by his daughter, Tegean. As Bavel prepared to leave New Market, he spoke with Bush, Simmons, and Robert Row's wife Isabelle, all of whom gave him permission to take Robert back to Rapoville with him for a week.
After Bavel's Diary
Bush would spend the rest of his life in the New Market area with his wife and the other settlers, being a beacon of generosity for his peers. Around twenty years after Bavel's Diary, Bush would pass away.
