I have a deep respect for my two colleagues on stage with me, though as a resident of the Jungle since birth, I have a different view of the village.

–Ho'aliona

Ho'aliona is a Raposa created by GuyThatExists that appears in the anthology series The 35 as a character in 3 out of 105 segments.

After running for the office of Mayor of Galactic Jungle, Ho'aliona was brought onto Click's cabinet as Secretary of Foreign Affairs, replacing Sushi. He later helped dig into voter demographics to delay Click's work with a group of villagers still operating under The Council's laws, and he would eventually be sent into space to meet with extraterrestrial species on behalf both Click and Virgil.

The 35[edit]

2016[edit]

Ho'aliona is first seen during the mayoral debate between himself, Click, and Nemo, where he counters the responses of both Click and Nemo, and campaigning on being a citizen since birth and returning to the leadership style of Mayor Mizzi, Click's predecessor. Despite losing the election, he agreed to join Click's cabinet as the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, replacing Sushi.

2020[edit]

Near the next election cycle, Ho'aliona helped keep Alaka'i out of Click's office as they planned for their debates. As Alaka'i leaves, shouting about the villagers still following The Council's laws, and Ho'aliona asks if there's anything they could do about these villagers. As Click and his cabinet deliberate, Ho'aliona begins to wonder who that group of villagers vote for, and after looking through the private files of Hoku, they determine that they tend to vote for Click, so the group decides to wait until after the next election cycle to deal with those villagers.

2022[edit]

Ho'aliona is next seen halfway through his term preparing for a many year long expedition into Raporia's Solar System, and he announces that his friend Erlanger would be taking his place as Click's Secretary of Foreign Affairs. After saying goodbye to Click and his new cabinet, now consisting of Erlanger, Makaia, and Kamalah, Ho'aliona boards his space ship with his crew and takes off.

Once they break through Raporia's atmosphere, Ho'aliona calls Click's work computer and hears Click and his cabinet being visited by Virgil. After hearing Virgil explain the terms of engagement with alien life to Click, Ho'aliona responds, telling them that he knows his new orders.

Quote Icon.png Quotes[edit]

First I'd like to say thank you for having the courage it takes to admit your mistakes and work to fix them. There aren't many people like you in this world Click. However, I would like to note that even though many of The Council's laws have been repealed, there are still a large number of Raposa still wearing ventilation helmets and not exploring our paludariums out of fear. No work has been done to undo the brainwashing done to this group of people.

–Ho'aliona

Are you not the Secretary of Science and Development and not of Security? Secretary Makaia is responsible for these kinds of things. We all know that you come from Anago Agencies, where you were a spy for most of your life, but this seems a little out of your paygrade.

–Ho'aliona

Well, I have a deep respect for my two colleagues on stage with me, though as a resident of the Jungle since birth, I have a different view of the village than these two. My main desire is to bring back the leadership style of the late Mayor Mizzi. Less direct control over parts of the village, and more trust in a singular entity. I admit that the current cabinet has done an amazing job working with Click, but I genuinely believe that we should continue to emulate the work of our allies and their governments, like Mayor Mizzi and Mayor Click have done previously.

–Ho'aliona

You know he's right Alaka'i. Get out of here.

–Ho'aliona

Is there anything else we could try to make them adapt to modern life? We are not using the Guard to force people to change their ways.

–Ho'aliona

Do we? Do we know who they typically vote for?

–Ho'aliona

Hoku? Isn't that Alaka'i's grunt?

–Ho'aliona

But if Alaka'i caught wind of what we were doing... He's running against you...

–Ho'aliona

The vast majority of helmets who actually vote... they vote for you Click.

–Ho'aliona

Should we talk about our space travel initiative?

–Ho'aliona

None at all.

–Ho'aliona

Hello everyone! It has been an honor to serve as your Secretary of Foreign Affairs these past six years, and I am proud to continue this work off–planet. Though I cannot say for certain, we believe there to be sapient life on other planets in our solar system, and we aim to help spread the joy of the Raposa to these worlds.

–Ho'aliona

This is my friend Erlanger. He is an honorable man and will take over my position as Secretary of Foreign Affairs for the next two years. I wish all of you the best of luck in keeping the village afloat. So long everyone!

–Ho'aliona

No need! I can hear you all loud and clear. Is that Virgil?
