Elkanah is a Raposa created by GuyThatExists that appears in the short story Bavel's Diary as a supporting character. He is an indigenous Rapoville Raposa, but was forced out by Eugene Shinar and his group. He would travel with his villagers to Deadwood, where they would live for some time. Elkanah would then lead the Raposa into the Starlite Works, becoming their mayor. He would eventually become acquainted with Bavel, who would help reintroduce his Raposa into Rapoville.
Appearance[edit]
Elkanah's appearance is currently unknown.
Story[edit]
Before Bavel's Diary[edit]
Elkanah was born to his father in Liškaměsto. His early life is not known, but he, alongside the rest of the villagers, were chased out of the village by Eugene Shinar when he burned down the village. Elkanah and the villagers would move into Deadwood's trunk, bringing the Book of Life with them. Fifteen years later, Elkanah would lead the villagers out of Deadwood and into a new village, the Starlite Works, where Elkanah would be the mayor.
Bavel's Diary[edit]
Much later, Elkanah would meet Bavel, the son of Eugene Shinar who had denied his father's ideals. Elkanah invited him into the village and gave him a tour and a history lesson. Bavel then asked to form a treaty with the Starlite Works, though Elkanah was reluctant to sign, only signing on the condition that they wouldn't have to relocate. Afterwords, Bavel and Elkanah established a World Gate int he village. At the end of the week, Bavel and Elkanah returned to Rapoville together to reintroduce the Starlite Works Raposa to the world. Unfortunately, the Rapoville villagers do not take kindly to Elkanah's return to the village. However, their treaty stays in tact and Elkanah would return to Rapoville multiple times to help examine the Book of Life. The next year, Bavel returns to Elkanah with the proposition of allowing Robert Row, a Human, to explore the village and learn their history. Elkanah agrees and takes Robert into the village, including Deadwood.
P.S. Athys' Addendum[edit]
The day after Bavel disappears, Elkanah is visited by Peliossa, Tegean, and Athys asking if they had seen Bavel. However, he had not, and the three of them leave.
After P.S. Athys' Addendum[edit]
An unknown amount of time later, Elkanah would pass away. It is unknown where his spirit went after death. According to Mari's footnotes in her transcription of Bavel's Diary, she deduces that Elkanah is an ancestor of Samuel.
