–Alana
Alana is a Human adapted by GuyThatExists that appears in the short stories Blank Slates and Blank Slates 2 as a major character, and Blank Slates 3 as a supporting character. She also appears in The 35 in 4 out of 105 segments. She also appears in the one-shots Self-Awareness as the main character and GenericChallenge as a cameo, and in the game Drawn to Life: Two Realms as Aly.
Alana, cut from a Two Realms pitch, is the first to discover the ability to ascend into the Developer's Grove, and is a pivotal figure in the fight against the Droogle Leader and Drakon. She then goes on to become the character Aly in Drawn to Life: Two Realms. She is later recruited by Willham and Shadow Mari to travel to 2007 and find Jeremiah Slaczka, so she adopted the disguise of Lyrica, uncovering GenericChallenge in the process.
Many years later, after graduating high school and college and moving back into Belleview, she would marry Mike and have a son, Nolan Row. A few years later, she would return to The Void to mourn the death of the Droogle Killer, though she was killed by Tombstone during her visit.
Appearance[edit]
Alana has long, straight, light ginger hair, hazel eyes, and pale skin. She wears a sleeveless, orange, zip-up jacket with a grey shirt underneath.
As Aly, she has medium length, brown hair, and she wears a red headband, red pants, and a yellow dress.
As Lyrica, she has blonde hair with pink and purple flowers. She also wears a pink shirt and purple pants with white shoes.
Story[edit]
Blank Slates[edit]
Escape Attempts[edit]
Alana is first seen after Mildew wakes up in the Developer's Grove. She celebrates being able to escape The Void, but is promptly killed by the Droogle Leader, sending her back to The Void with his sword. After Shadow Mari sends beams of Shadow through The Void, bringing it to life, Alana makes her way to The Next Chapter Village and meets up with Nolan, Fiora, and Lambert.
Alana begins to complain about not being able to successfully ascend into the Developer's Grove, and eventually complains about not being relevant to the Drawn to Life Series. She calls out Fiora and Lambert for being leftover in Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter instead of being cut entirely. Lambert gets mad at her and beings to shout, prompting Mayo to fly over to the group and ease tensions. She tries to ascend one more time, but when she fails, she gets fed up with her friends and drives off. On her way out, she notices the group leave to go get her a gift.
Wandering The Next Chapter Village[edit]
Eventually, she gets stopped by Rocko, Fox, and Jinxy. They ask her if she knows where Fiora and Lambert are, so she points them towards the group. Mayo joins the four and asks what they're doing, but before they can answer, a page of the village begins to turn, causing all the beings to panic. Alana fears for Nolan's safety, so she, along with Rocko, Fox, Jinxy, and Mayo, go to the other side of the village and meets up with him at Hans's seam shop. She tells him, along with Fiora, Lambert, and Hans, to jump off the page. Immediately after this however, the group notices Crawler and his army approach the group. In a panic, Fiora tosses Alana a dress that Hans had made her, along with a new phrase she could use to ascend to the Dev Grove. Before a fight can break out between the two parties, Willham sweeps over the group, erasing the village along with Fox, Lambert, Hans, and Crawler's army.
Fighting the Bosses[edit]
During Willham's attack, Alana successfully ascended into the Dev Grove and watched as the Droogles arranged the Grove for their coup. She is caught by a Droogle and is sent back to The Void. However, she alerts the Droogle Leader to her presence, which lets him prepare for war. She reappears and finds the Four Guardians locked in a battle with Dinofrog. Hose notices her and gives her a brief rundown on the events that had transpired earlier. She stands back from the fight and watches as Jinxy, Nolan, and Fiora run after Drakon, but eventually hears Paint mention the Droogle Killer, drawing her attention. She is told to go to the Drawn to Life Village to find it.
When she arrives at the village, she finds the Droogle Killer laying on the ground. As she approaches, the ground begins to shake, and the Droogle Killer wakes up. She asks if it is the Droogle Killer, and after hearing the word "Droogle" it begins to get agitated. Alana continues to rile it up and tells it to direct its anger towards Dinofrog. The Droogle Killer picks up Alana and puts her on its shoulder and then begins to walk towards the boss. Eventually, it throws the tree it was holding at the monster, but Willham deletes the monster before the tree can hit it. Unaware that Willham intervened, the Droogle Killer thinks that it destroyed the monster and celebrates. Alana then directs it towards the Shadow Hole so it can defeat Drakon.
At The Shadow Hole[edit]
When they get to the Shadow Hole, Alana has a brief reunion with Nolan and then guides the Droogle Killer towards Drakon. Shortly after this, Shadow Mari summons her army of cut Shadow and Ink monsters, so the Droogle Killer defeats some of them on the way to Drakon. After Drakon dives into the Shadow Hole, the Droogle Killer sets Alana down and dives in after him. Shadow Mari calls off her army, and Alana is able to regroup with her friends. Suddenly, she hears Mayo call out to Shadow Mari, urging her to kill Willham. This causes Alana, along with everyone else still in The Void, to question where Mayo's allegiances lied. Mayo suddenly breaks down, yelling at the beings for not appreciating her, eventually ending with her collapsing on the ground.
Mayo's Death[edit]
After this Alana is approached by Joe, Franco, and Mildew. the three ask her how to ascend, and she tells them that all they need is a mantra. The three begin to ascend back to the Dev Grove, but suddenly, Droogles begin to appear in The Void. Joe and Mildew ascend successfully, but a Droogle knocks Franco out of his ascension and back into The Void. Alana watches as the Droogle Killer pops back into The Void and is killed by Willham and Shadow Mari, who then grab the Droogle Leader and fly into the Shadow Hole, permanently closing it. Alana then goes to check up on Franco with Flash and Hose. Hose asks Franco to let them all stay alive in The Void, so Franco says he'd talk to Joe about it. He ascends and Alana joins Nolan, Fiora, Jinxy, and Rocko.
Eventually, Willham and Shadow Mari reappear in The Void and bring back everything that Willham or the Bosses had destroyed, including Fox, Lambert, Hans, and Crawler's army. The group that went through this fight all join together and wish Alana, now Aly, luck in Drawn to Life: Two Realms. She ascends one last time and is used in Two Realms as Aly.
Self-Awareness[edit]
After some time in Drawn to Life: Two Realms, Aly, with no memories of her time in The Void, decides to jump down the Belleview well. She falls into the Dev Grove and ask Joe and the Droogle Leader where she is, and if they are Raposa. Joe laughs and stabs her with the Droogle Leader's Sword, sending her back into The Void. She is met with her old friends, including Nolan, Fiora, and Sandal. As Sandal licks her, she remembers more and more of her time in The Void, something Shadow Mari catches onto. She blasts Aly with a beam of Shadow, restoring all of her memories, exciting her friends.
Aly is then pulled aside by the screeners, being recruited for a mission to find GenericChallenge. She accepts the mission and returns to Belleview, but sees Salem Rose attacking the Droogle Leader on her way out.
The 35[edit]
2012[edit]
After crawling out of the Wishing Well back in Belleview, she is stopped by Uncle Owen, who asks her about her trip, as he knew about the Developer's Grove. As he presses her to see if she knows about the Grove, he mentions Franco Key, breaking her facade and explains how he was visited by agents from the Grove the night of the carnival. When he mentions GenericChallenge, Aly is surprised, and now that he had confirmed they knew the same information, he asks her if the Shadows were real or not. Before she can answer though, Aldark scares Uncle Owen off.
2015[edit]
Three years later, Aly graduates from high school, and after a day of celebrating with Mike, Tony, and their families, she sits with Mike watching TV. They discuss their college plans, and Aly plans to visit the east coast for college, promising to visit Mike every now and then and call at least once every week.
2019[edit]
While in college, Mike and Aly eventually separated, and when they both returned home at the end of their senior years, Aly invites Mike into his own house, where all those impacted by Aldark were waiting for him. They all pooled their knowledge together and accepted the existence of the Raposa realm, wanting to work to uncover more of Aldark's attacks.
When the group leaves, Mike and Aly decide to try their relationship again, and they agree to have dinner.
Blank Slates 2[edit]
Called By The Screeners[edit]
While living in Belleview, both she and Franco Key were called back into the Developer's Grove by Shadow Mari and Joe. After a brief reunion, Joe tells them that the Droogle Leader had run away with his sword, and that they couldn't return to The Void. Joe then asks them to find Jeremiah Slaczka, who had left into Belleview after the development of Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter. Franco asks who he disguised himself as, and Joe reveals that he was Mr. Row, Mike's father who had died in the car accident. After adopting the persona of Lyrica, Aly is sent to 2007 to find him.
Lyrica[edit]
Back in Belleview with Daniel James - David Franco's disguise in 2007 - the two of them go to Mike's house. They are met by Uncle Owen, who explains that the Rows had already left for the carnival. The two of them thank Owen for the tip, telling him that they were cops who wanted to carpool with the Rows as they leave. They then find Shadow Mari waiting inside a car, and the two of them get inside and drive to the carnival.
When they arrive, Lyrica spots the Rows entering the carnival, and watch as Mr. Row splits away from his family and delivers a box of Raposa dolls to a Carnival Attendant. The two of them walk up to Mr. Row after he delivers the dolls, but he doesn't remember either of them. Lyrica decides to run back and get some Shadow to restore his memories, but when Lyrica splashes the Shadow on him and his memories are not restored, the two of them realize that they had found GenericChallenge, simply masquerading as Mr. Row.
While Daniel James pulls GenericChallenge aside and interrogates him about the whereabouts of Mr. Row, Lyrica distracts Mrs. Row, Heather, and Mike by offering to pay for a round of carnival games. She pays the same Carnival Attendant and watches as Heather wins her Mari doll, while Mike loses the game. Upset, Lyrica asks to buy a Jowee doll, but when the Attendee refuses, she instead steals someone else's game, winning the Jowee doll and giving it to Mike.
Finding Miah[edit]
Daniel James is unable to get anything out of GenericChallenge, so they take him back to the Developer's Grove. While in the Grove, Joe, Willham, and Franco interrogate him properly and find that the real Mr. Row was trapped in his basement by GenericChallenge. Daniel James, Lyrica, Shadow Mari, and GenericChallenge then return to 2007 to rescue Miah and bring him back to the Developer's Grove after telling him their situation. After bringing Miah back, Alana watches as he creates the Stylus, and she returns to his current Belleview as Aly once again.
Life as Aly[edit]
2025[edit]
One day, she comes across Daniel James at a Cesaros and asks if he was on a mission. He tells her that he was, and that she was too, and she pries for more details. However, Daniel James begins to panic, so when he asks her to leave him alone, she does.
Eventually, Aly and Mike are married, and she has a son with him - Nolan Row, named after her friend from The Void. Shortly before her marriage she visits Joseph Tringali and asks how much of her experiences were really canon, and he tells her that everything after Drawn to Life: Two Realms was real. Eventually, she would decide to come to a meeting in the Developer's Grove about GenericChallenge's whereabouts.
Blank Slates 3[edit]
Aly is next seen in a meeting in the Developer's Grove with Joseph Tringali, David Franco, Mill, Sparky, and Hoopz, after discussing the whereabouts of GenericChallenge, Mill receives a call from Violet saying that Tombstone had emerged and taken over the Drawn to Life Village, killing the Droogle Killer in the process. When the Guardians return to The Void, Aly asks to join them, and the group all appear on the outskirts of the Drawn to Life Village.
Aly reunites with Lambert, Violet, and the Droogle Leader in time to watch Gingerfre and his Shadow army arrive to accidentally revive Tombstone, forcing everyone to retreat to the Two Realms Plains. In the Plains, Aly continues her reunion with Lambert, meeting up with Sandal and telling Lambert that she had a surprise for Nolan. Aly asks about how the Two Realms Plains came to be, and Lambert explains that both it and the Shadow Village were made by Shadow Mari, and just them, Tombstone begins attacking the Shadow Village. When the Guardians come to collect Lambert for the fight, Aly and Sandal decide to join them and they all head towards the Shadow Village.
Once at the village, Shadow Mari meets with Aly again, and Aly begins planning with Sandal and Lambert on how to help take Tombstone down. Once their plan to steal Tombstone's Shadow is in place, Lambert and Sandal take off, and Aly tells Shadow Mari to go fight, promising to fill in the other fighters as they arrive. In this new role, she meets up with Jinxy, Fiora, and Nolan once more, also briefly meeting Stocking. Fiora and Nolan stay outside the village with her while Jinxy and Stocking go in to fight.
Aly fills Nolan and Fiora in on her canon life, including her marriage, and tells them that she was promised that it was all real events. Before she can tell them about her son however, a stray piece of Tombstone crashes down near them, forcing them to back away from the fight. She then tells them about her son, but isn't able to tell Nolan what she named him, as Tombstone, who was just defeated, collapses into a tidal wave aimed directly towards the three of them. Nolan immediatley grabs Aly and Fiora and attempts running away, but he cannot escape the tidal wave.
Stocking appears behind them as the wave closes in, and he throws his hat towards them to act as a portal, which Fiora accepts and jumps in. Aly, seeing her son in her friend, refuses to get in before Nolan while Nolan, wanting to be chivalrous to his old friend and thinking of her family, refuses to get in before she does. Irritated, Stocking is forced to choose who to save and chooses Nolan, leaving Aly to say her final words to and be crushed by the tidal wave, killing her.
When Tombstone is defeated, it can be assumed that Aly's body is left in The Void when Temte Mapleleaf destroys it, destroying his body for good.

Trivia[edit]
- Alana's line, "I guess I must be psychic. Or maybe I just have really good intuition," in Blank Slates 1 is a reference to Sayaka Maizono from Danganronpa.
- Aly was originally planned to survive a bit longer in Blank Slates 3, and was going to help Stocking deal with his headaches. She was also going to be absorbed by a corrupted Sandal, though this was cut to reduce redundant plots.
