What’s it to ya? So what if I tried to kill someone; you gonna give me shit about it!? Bet you’re in here for somethin’ just as bad reddie!

–Colepere

Colepere Amapbé is a Raposa created by GuyThatExists that appears in the short stories The Lavasteam Chronicles Part Two as a secondary character and The Lavasteam Chronicles Part Three as a minor character, and the one-shot Haunted Rivers as a cameo. He also appears in Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter during a cutscene.

He was a citizen of Watersong when Salem stole Rose's voice, and he was eventually replaced with an Ameba doppelganger of himself. This Ameba was defeated, and Colepere wakes up, but is soon apprehended by the Watersong Royal Guard and arrested for the crimes of the Ameba. He is sent to Ex-Isle, where he is paramount in fighting Salem and reforming the island. One year later, he is one of the many people enthralled by Allight, though once he is freed, he helps fight against her.

Not much is known about Colepere's appearance while on Ex-Isle, but it is known he has brown fur and a similar appearance to both Francois and Sebastien.

The Lavasteam Chronicles Part Two[edit]

Before the events of The Lavasteam Chronicles Part Two, Colepere was a Raposa living in Watersong. He attended one of Rose's operas, when it was suddenly crashed by Salem. Using the power of the Promise Conch and cheating, Salem steals Rose's voice in clear view of Colepere. Shortly after this event, Colepere is attacked by Salem and replaced by an Ameba doppelganger. This Ameba followed Salem during the events of Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter accompanying him to Rose's Mansion where he is defeated by the Hero.

After waking up in an alley, Colepere walks into the courtyard, where he is quickly captured by Francois for the crimes his Ameba doppel committed with Salem. After a quick and confusing trial, Colepere is sent to Ex-Isle. On the island, Colepere is greeted by Kacha, who gives him a tour of the island. In the mess hall, he meets Robigo, Byetts, Oma, and Ocean. Robigo pokes fun at him, asking who he killed, and Colepere snaps at her, still confused about his trial. After his outburst, Salem arrives on the island, starting his interview process.

While eating breakfast, Colepere mentions that Salem couldn't possibly be Miney's advisor and Rose's attacker at the same time, raising suspicion among the exiles. Robigo is then called by Elodie to be interviewed, so Colepere tells her not to die. After Robigo leaves, Ocean asks Colepere how he was exiled, so he explains the events that transpired only days prior. Ocean asks if he knew the Hero, but Colepere denies this.

Much later that day, after the interviews were over, Colepere joins Kacha, Byetts, Oma, and Elodie in searching for Robigo, who had been missing ever since her interview. The five of them eventually hide outside Robigo's cell, listening as Salem unmasks himself to Robigo, kidnapping her. After Ocean, who had been hiding in the room with Robigo, calms down, Colepere asks if the exiles would be willing to fight Salem if he ever came back, something Elodie refutes as a possibility.

A week later, Colepere is upset that Oma and Ocean may be leaving with Galileo, and he listens as Byetts explains the history of Shadite to the group. He also listens to Byetts explain how he was exiled, but suddenly, the mess hall is swarmed by Wilfre and his Ameba. He hides behind a tipped over table with other exiles and some guards, but when Oma and Ocean are kidnapped by Wilfre, he jumps out and begins to fight the Ameba. He is given a spear by Terra, and a battle ensues.

When Wilfre drains the Color from the island, Colepere is petrified, but the Creator quickly restores him, destroying the Ameba in the process. While Colepere finds his bearings, Brûlées stages a rally against the guards. Colepere tries to calm him down, but eventually just punches the wind out of him. He then organizes the Raposa into two groups, exiles and guards, and gets them to come to an agreement about their treatment on the island.

He eventually leaves the island with Oma, Ocean, Galileo, Eeny, Puck, Kacha, Byetts, and Elodie on Baki Beard's Revenge, mere seconds before Allight enthralls the Raposa on the island.

The Lavasteam Chronicles Part Three[edit]

One year later, Colepere, Kacha, Byetts, and Elodie all came to Galileo's house for dinner. During the meal, he watched as Ocean was briefly possessed by Allight. The next morning, the four of them set sail back to Watersong, and Byetts fell asleep on the ship. While he was asleep, Colepere, Kacha, and Elodie docked at Watersong but were enthralled by Allight.

While enthralled, Colepere became much friendlier, and he helped Allight enthrall Byetts when he woke up. He also helped fight, board, and search the Bane of Kings and Baki Beard's Revenge when they sailed to Watersong. This allowed Allight to enthrall most of the Raposa on the ship, although it also introduced her and her army to the Hero. Later, he was freed from his enthrallment by Ocean and Harsonist, and he joined Rose in the fight against Allight. After arriving in Lavasteam, he watched as Allight was defeated by Fext and as Terra was dishonorably discharged from the Lavasteam Royal Guard.

Quote Icon.png Quotes[edit]

That ain’t Miney’s advisor. There’s no way.

–Colepere

That’s the Raposa who stole Mayor Rose’s voice and tried to get Miles killed. He couldn’t have made it to Lavasteam in time to become the King’s advisor.

–Colepere

He walked right past me to get on stage and challenge Mayor Rose.

–Colepere

I am so sorry ma’am. I didn’t realize this kid was yours, and I just thought, ‘If a kid could be sentenced here, they must be all sorts of fu…messed up. Messed up. I promise you; it won’t happen again.

–Colepere

Listen kid, I appreciate the curiosity, but I really don’t wanna talk about it.

–Colepere

What the hell is going on you guys!?

–Colepere

How many of the exiles are willing to fight? Most of us are here for violent crimes, right? Surely we can round up a gang.

–Colepere

What’s got the two ‘a you so happy?

–Colepere

Wait, wait, wait. What makes you so sure your husband’s comin’?

–Colepere

Hey, where are you going? Don’t have time for a geology lesson?

–Colepere

What the hell is going on!?

–Colepere

I don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about, but if you don’t bring both of ‘em back right now, I’ll wreck your shit!

–Colepere

Alright you guys let get this settled! It seems like there’s only one way to resolve this debate. Guards over there, exiles over there.

–Colepere

Guards, you gotta ease up on these guys! Maybe they wouldn’t be so trigger happy if you actually treated them like normal Rapos.

–Colepere

I studied law back in Watersong. Throw some legal mumbo jumbo and fancy words like ‘conflict resolution’ into the mix, and you can win anyone over.

–Colepere

What am I, chopped liver? C’mere and give ol’ Colepere a hug too!

–Colepere

I hope Ocean feels better soon.

–Colepere

That was nice! Good to see those guys after so long, yeah?

–Colepere

Hey Towe, what’s on ya mind?

–Colepere

I don’t think that’s gonna happen.

–Colepere
