Creator's Curse

The Creator's Curse is a curse created by GuyThatExists that has effects throughout the Drawn to Life Series and Guy's AU. According to Eugene Shinar, every leader of Rapoville, regardless of the legality of the leadership role, would be cursed to become a ghost upon their death, wandering the world as a guide for others. It is unknown why this curse was put into place.

Known Victims

The following is a list of every known victim of this curse. This includes ghosts known to have been cursed, such as Eugene Shinar, and ghosts that have been in any leadership status in Rapoville, such as Elkanah's father.

Elkanah's Father	Between 1814 and 1830	Formal Mayor	Elkanah's Father was the Mayor of Liškaměsto when Eugene Shinar attacked, chasing them out of the village.
Eugene Shinar	1844	Formal Mayor	Eugene Shinar was the first Mayor of Rapoville after colonizing it. Unlike the leaders of Liškaměsto, he was unaware of the curse and angrily remained alive after death. He would later join the Shadowdwellers.
Tegean	Unknown	Legal Mayor	Tegean Bavel was the third Mayor of Rapoville, following in the footsteps of her father Bavel.
Zerua	Unknown	Legal Mayor	Zerua Bavel was the fourth Mayor of Rapoville, though most of their work is unknown. After death, they would meet Eugene Shinar and join the Shadowdwellers.
Roza	Unknown	Legal Mayor	Roza Virginia was the fifth Mayor of Rapoville, though most of her work is unknown. After death, they would join the Shadowdwellers and would nearly kill Angelia due to negligence.
Nathan	Before 2020	Legal Mayor	Nathan Virginia was the sixth Mayor of Rapoville, though most of his work is unknown. After death, he would meet Eugene Shinar and join the Shadowdwellers.
Steven	1982	Formal Mayor	Steven Shaal was Joaquin's Deputy Mayor, and after Nathan's death, took over the roles of Mayor as Joaquin matured. He was killed by a Shadow-controlled Athys. After his death, he was one of the first ghosts to appear on The Wasteland.
Mayor	2007	Legal Mayor	Joaquin Virginia was the seventh Mayor of Rapoville, and he was a pivotal part of restoring Rapoville after the Shadow's attacks. He was killed by Wilfre and roamed both Rapoville and Wilfre's Wasteland.
Athys	2007	Formal Mayor	Athys Courania was the first Deputy Mayor of Rapoville under Tegean, and she helped lead the village when Bavel went missing until Tegean was ready to lead. Due to her Rust Fur and corruption by the Shadow, she wouldn't be allowed to fully pass away until her defeat by the Hero.

Unless the curse is lifted at any point, there are some notable characters that are still alive that may be forced into the afterlife when they die.

Mari	Legal Mayor	Mari Virginia is the eighth Mayor of Rapoville, active during the times of Drawn to Life all the way to The Last Page.
Jowee	Formal Mayor	Jowee Helison was the informal leader of the group of Rapoville residents on Turtle Rock, though its unknown if he would be classified as a leader of the village in this case.
