–Violet
Skate, formerly known as Violet and Hose, is a Human adapted by GuyThatExists that appears in the short stories Blank Slates, Blank Slates 2, and Blank Slates 3 as a major character, and in Salem Rose Pt. 1 as a minor character.
He is a member of the Four Guardians and fought against both Shadow Mari and Drakon. Later, he was killed by Salem Rose during his attack on The Void, and was revived as Violet by possessing the body of an unknown character. She would then go on to fight against the Tree King and the Jungle Creature. Two years later, she would be one of the people to fight against Tombstone, and would be transferred into her true body - Skate. As Skate, she would continue to fight Tombstone, but was forcefully evacuated from The Void by the Master of the Abyss.
Appearance
Hose has yellow fur carries a hose in his arms. He wears a red fireman's helmet a standard turnout gear.
Violet has grey fur with a patch of purple hair on her head. She wears a green dress reminiscent of Heather's Raposa design.
Skate, as a Human, does not have fur, but does have long blonde hair. She wears a teal sports bra and blue shorts. She also has a set of red roller blades and matching knee tape and elbow pads.
Story
Pre-Blank Slates
Skate, along with the rest of the Four Guardians, was originally Monk, a third screener with the ability to change things. After Monk split themself into four beings, Skate began working with the other screeners on Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter. Just before The Void was shut down, Skate transferred her smoke into Fire Bill, creating Hose. When The Void was restarted for Drawn to Life: Two Realms, Hose was tasked with lowering beings into The Void after they were cut or deemed unused.
Blank Slates
During the development cycle for Drawn to Life: Two Realms, Joe called the Guardians to the Discussion Grounds to pick a character to revive for the upcoming game. Hose gave the suggestion to create a second list of characters, only containing the ones with personality. Eventually, the group learns about Mildew and decides to send him up to the game, angering Shadow Mari. She attacks the group and threatens to bring life to the void if they didn't bring Mildew back down. Because the decision was irreversible, Shadow Mari ends up attacking the void, killing Willham and covering Ore in Shadow in the process.
After Shadow Mari's attack subsides, Hose, along with Flash and Paint, take Ore to the color vat in Lavasteam and revert him to his Raposa form. They return to the Discussion Grounds and find Joe, Franco, and Mildew. After looking around at the landscape, the devs ask about the Shadow Hole and ask how it came to be. After learning about Shadow Mari, Joe asks why she was in the void without the dev's knowing. Flash comments that only one other person they know could create life - Mayo.
Shortly after, Drakon and Dinofrog attack the Discussion Grounds. Drakon kidnaps Joe, Franco, and Mildew, leaving the Guardians to fight Dinofrog. During their fight, the Discussion Grounds are destroyed, and the Guardians are in a stalemate with Dinofrog. Eventually, Hose sees Alana appear and asks her to summon the Droogle Killer to help defeat Dinofrog. Dinofrog is eventually defeated by Willham, albeit a tree landed where Dinofrog was shortly after being deleted. Willham, Rocko, and Crawler continue on their journey to the Shadow Hole, and Mayo asks the Guardians if they want a ride. Hose tries to ignore her, suspicious of her involvement with Shadow Mari, but reluctantly agrees to a ride to the Shadow Hole.
When they arrive, Shadow Mari summons an army of Shadow and Ink creatures from the hole, forcing Hose to fight the horde of enemies, alongside the other three Guardians, Rocko, Crawler, Fiora, Nolan. After Drakon and the Droogle Killer jump into the Hole, Shadow Mari calls off her army, and Mayo urges Shadow Mari to kill Willham, which she does. This causes Hose, along with the rest of the void, to chastise Mayo's alliances and morality. Eventually, Mayo breaks down and begins to yell at the Guardians for seemingly hating her. After her outburst, she collapses to the ground and begins to cry.
As Mayo cries on the ground, Hose, Flash, and Alana help Franco to his feet after failing to ascend back into the Developer's Grove. Hose, with Flash's permission, asks Franco to let them keep living in the void. He says that he'd pass the request onto Joe. After their conversation, they join Paint and Ore, who were keeping other beings away from Mayo.
Just then, Joe makes two announcements into the void. He grants Hose's request, and then says that he has to delete Mayo from the void due to her actions. Mayo begins to disappear, begging for help. After Mayo is completely deleted, Hose joins the rest of the beings of the void as they wish Alana, now known as Aly, luck in the next game. He is also part of the group that laughs when Fiora names Sandal, her new pet.
Salem Rose Pt. 1
Some time later, Miles sneaks into The Void and is met by Hose, Flash, Rocko, Jinxy, and Willham. Hose makes fun of him for being groggy after stabbing himself with the Droogle Leader's Sword. Flash temporarily blinds him, and he stays with Jinxy as Miles, Rocko, Flash, and Willham go to the Color Vat in the The Next Chapter Village.
Hose is later seen when Salem Rose, a corrupted version of Miles, comes to The Void. When Salem Rose jumps into the Color Vat and absorbs its power, Hose, along with the other Guardians, surround the vat, preparing to fight Salem Rose. Suddenly, the color erupts from the vat, knocking the Guardians down and covering them. He, along with the rest of the Guardians, were killed in this attack.
Blank Slates 2
After being killed, a cloud of blue smoke was released from Hose's body, and it shot off towards the Two Realms Plains, possessing the body of an unknown Raposa and waking up. She is soon found by SuperRapo, Apprentice, and Sorcerer, and the toys quickly become her friends. They soon find Hans, Zak, and Mac entering the plains, searching for Hose. Violet decides to not give herself up, and leads the group on a futile quest to find Hose.
Later on, they watch as Gingerfre and Red Dragon land in the plains, and Violet attacks them with a wave of purple energy, causing them to crash to the ground. Violet and Sorcerer interrogate them, and Gingerfre explains the Tree King's plans. Realizing that she would have to go join the rest of the Guardians to fight the Tree King, Violet flies off to the Color Vat.
She arrives at the Vat with Hoopz, Fox, Nolan, and Rocko, and she joins in on a fight with the Tree King, Squid, and the Jungle Creature which was already in progress. The Guardians easily defeat Squid, and Lambert picks up Mizu's Trident, gaining water-based powers. Violet promotes him to a Guardian, and the five of them defeat the Tree King and the Jungle Creature. However, Mill thinks that the two bosses haven't been defeated, so they go back to the Two Realms Plains to find a piece of the Jungle Creature.
When they arrive at the plains, they watch as Shadow and Ink creatures begin to spawn. The fragment of the Jungle Creature eventually absorbs most of them, forming the Shadow Squid and reopening the Shadow Hole. During the battle, Lambert loses the trident inside the Shadow Squid, and Violet comes to ask why he isn't helping them fight. Lambert explains that he has a plan, and asks Violet to get to max speed and start shooting through the Shadow Squid. She agrees and begins to pierce the Squid, creating holes faster than the squid could heal them. Lambert then summons the trident back to him, causing the Shadow Squid to pop, freeing the Shadow and Ink creatures and closing the Shadow Hole.
The group then flies off to fight the new Tree King in the Wii Village, and Violet tries to use the same strategy, but it fails. Violet keeps attacking the Tree King until he's eventually defeated by Willham, Lambert, and Mill. Violet then works with the rest of the Guardians, the screeners, and various other characters to help clear the battlefield of injured and deceased characters. One week later, Violet goes to check up on the Two Realms Plains after the attack.
Blank Slates 3
Two years later, Violet was left in the Guardians' HQ with the Droogle Leader, who had reappeared in The Void. The Droogle Leader began asking about the events in The Void while he was gone, annoying Violet and causing her to snap. After she apologized, she explained the Tree King's campaign and the Shadow Village to him. During their conversation, Tombstone attacks the Drawn to Life Village, prompting the two of them to travel to said village and contact the other Guardians and screeners to help fight it.
