Mike is so weird...But he's been through a lot...I know he has a good heart. I'll text him tomorrow morning.

–Aly

Aly is a main Human character in Drawn to Life: Two Realms. She is one of Mike's closest friends and daughter to Bruce and Dr. Curie. Early on, she asks the Hero to help her parents reconcile with each other, though the would later get possessed by a Shadow, turning against Mike and the Hero. After being rescued by the Hero, Aly, Heather, and Tony work together to search for Mike when he goes missing. The three of them would also watch as Mike confronted Deputy Snyder.

TowerIcon.png Appearance[edit]

Aly is a human girl with medium-length brown hair. She wears a red headband, red pants, and a yellow dress. In her official artwork, she wears brown shoes, while in her sprites, she wears white shoes.

Book Icon.png Story[edit]

Aly is first introduced when she calls Heather and asks to meet Mike at the Park. Mike and the Hero meet her there, and she confides in Mike that her parents are fighting again. She ends up asking the Hero to find her father, Bruce Lannialli, and tell her when they find him. Eventually, Aly and Mike meet up with the Hero, who had found Bruce moments earlier, and she confronts him about leaving. He apologizes to her and goes home, leaving Aly, Mike, and the Hero alone. She then invites the two of them for ice cream, and they all go to the Ice Cream Shop.

The group arrives at the shop and gets their ice cream, and Mike offers to walk Aly home. On the way home, Mike sees a Maximus and tries to warn Aly. She cannot see the Shadow monster and simply thinks Mike is being weird, so she runs off. Back at her house, she thinks about Mike, knowing he means well. Unbeknownst to her, Aldark appears in her room and allows a Minimus to corrupt her.

The next day, Mike goes to Aly's House to apologize, but thanks to the Shadow's influence, she calls him a weirdo and tells him to get out. After Mike runs off and the Hero speaks with Heather, the Hero goes back to Aly's House, where she tells the Hero that Deputy Snyder was responsible for the crash that killed Mike's parents. She then gets mad at Heather for trying to see the good in everyone, so the Hero has an Imagination Battle with her. Afterwards, she calms down and decides to go find Mike to apologize, but her dad comes in before she can leave and asks about Aly's mother. Aly asks the Hero to go find her at the hospital, and Aly goes to Mike's House.

When she gets there, she and Heather get mad at Tony for claiming that Mike disappeared through a portal. The Hero walks in, and Aly asks the Hero to find Mike, as they still don't believe Tony. As the Hero searches Rapoville for Mike, Aly, Tony, and Heather search Belleview. Eventually, the Hero returns to Belleview, and the four of them realize that Mike is going to confront Deputy Snyder once and for all. The four of them arrive at the Police Station and see Mike yelling at Deputy Snyder. As the Hero has an imagination battle with both Snyder and Mike, Aly stands on the sidelines with other townspeople, watching as Mike apologizes and forgives Snyder.

During the credits, Aly is seen coming from from a trip with her parents and walking inside, leaving her parents alone to kiss. She also waves hello to Deputy Snyder as she and her friends walk past the Police Station. As Mike and Heather make it home, Mike watches to make sure Aly crosses the road safely, and Aly watches to make sure Mike gets inside. An unknown amount of time later, Aly asks Mike what prompted him to forgive Deputy Snyder. Mike thinks for a second and begins to tell her the story of the Hero.

BoIopen.png Imagination Battle[edit]

Aly can't let go of her anger. Help her leave it behind.

–Level Description

Aly's Imagination Battle in Drawn to Life: Two Realms is named Pulled Two Ways. It is the eighteenth story level in the game, and has three segments. After Heather explains the accident to the Hero, she asks them to go talk to Aly to see what had happened. When the Hero finds her, she explains Deputy Snyder's role in the accident, and she tells the Hero that she hates him for tearing the village apart. The Hero steps in to calm her down, and she thanks them for lifting a weight off her shoulders.

Enemies[edit]

Build Mode[edit]

In Build Mode, the player is given a Balloon, two Wind Doots, and a Spring. One possible solution is for the player to place the Balloon near the third coin on the bottom row, the first Wind Doot on the red truss poking out of the wall, the second on the divot in the wall on the top-right, and the Spring on the wall on the left of the bottom coin row.

You helped her deal with her frustration in a better way.

Yea... I’m just sick of it. They’re always fighting...

–Aly

Then my dad just stormed out last night. I didn’t know what to say.

–Aly

My mom didn’t seem to care. Just said that her patients appreciate her more than he ever did. She’s working a double shift at the hospital today.

–Aly

I still haven’t seen my dad. I was gonna try and talk to him.

–Aly

Yea... My dad’s a bit of an oddball. I still love him though.

–Aly

Well, let’s all split up. If you find him, let him know that I’m looking for him.

–Aly

I was looking for you... Why did you just... leave?

–Aly

Hero, I don’t know what to say... That’s the first time I've ever heard him admit he was wrong.

–Aly

Are we still on for ice cream later?

–Aly

Hero I was wondering when you’d show up! Chocolate Explosion Cone or Caramel Fudge Sundae?

–Aly

Sorry Hero, they don’t serve Gelato... This isn’t the big city.

–Aly

Ah... I’ve lived here all my life. I wanna go somewhere else, far away, for College though.

–Aly

This town has changed a lot in the last few years... But that’s how it goes I guess.

–Aly

Chill out... I wasn’t talking about you. If anyone has a legit reason to be upset, it’d be you...

–Aly

Aww... It’s getting close to my curfew. I can't stay out much longer.

–Aly

Is... Something there? Hey! What’s wrong with you?

–Aly

Mike... You’re really starting to freak me out.

–Aly

Mike is so weird... But he’s been through a lot... I know he has a good heart. I’ll text him tomorrow morning.

–Aly

I don’t need to be checked on, weirdo. Go play with your make-believe monsters. I’m busy.

–Aly

So you’re learning more about our dysfunctional town, eh?

–Aly

Did Heather tell you about Deputy Snyder? Or did she leave that part out?

–Aly

Yea, she’s always trying to find the good in people. But everything is his fault.

–Aly

He was supposed to protect us, but ended up tearing this town apart. I’ll never forgive him! He caused the accident that took Mike’s parents away!

–Aly

Ah.. Uh... What's going on? What just happened? It feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

–Aly

I should go apologize to Mike... Hero, do you mind looking for my mother? You seem to have a way with helping people out!

–Aly

Just tell her my dad and I are looking for her. She’s probably working another double shift at the Clinic.

–Aly

We can’t figure out why he would make up such a ridiculous story.

–Aly

We need to get the town water tested again. Mike really is missing though...

–Aly

Hey there Hero, what are you doing out this late?

–Aly

Oh no... Hurry Hero, we gotta go to the police station!

–Aly

Hey, Mike... I’ve been wondering... What made you decide to forgive Deputy Snyder?

–Aly

Tony can be such a jerk sometimes.

Trivia[edit]

  • It's possible that Aly was inspired by the unused character Alana from a failed DTL3 pitch.
  • According to the Raposa-Human Counterpart Sheet used during development, Aly is a counterpart to Mari[2].
    • Also according to this sheet, Aly was meant to be 14 years old, but it is unknown if this holds true for the final product.
  • Beating Pulled Two Ways triggers every character to switch from their "early-game" dialogue to their "mid-game" dialogue.
  • According to the Hockey Mask 1 sticker description, Aly is a goalie on a local hockey team.
  • Gifted Gift Gifter was added to the game as part of the Creative Pack #2 DLC for Drawn to Life: Two Realms and is one of the few Challenge Battles given to a character with a story level.
  • Aly has a typo in her "Level Win" dialogue, saying "scrabook" instead of "scrapbook".
