A Deputy Mayor is a position found in nearly every village, although it has a different name in each. In Rapoville, this role seems to be less of a monarchy than the mayor's position, although since only two deputy mayors are currently known, this cannot be said for sure. In Watersong and Lavasteam, the deputy mayor, called Butler and Advisor respectively, seems to be selected by the mayor themself. The Deputy Mayor acts as an advisor to the mayor and is typically older than them. If the current mayor does not have a child, the deputy mayor is next in line to be mayor, unless the deputy mayor has died. In this case, an election is held among the villagers to determine the new mayor, although this has not happened yet in any village.

Rapoville

Steven

Main article: Steven

Mayor's deputy mayor was Wilfre's father, Steven. Steven helped Mayor with welcoming new villagers and setting up their residences, along with other mayoral duties. Steven was killed by a Shadow-possessed Athys before Mari was born, leaving the village with no mayoral successor. Wilfre uses this as a point in his argument with Mayor about drawing in the Book of Life.

Circi

Main article: Circi

Mari's deputy mayor was Circi. Circi helped Mari relieve tension when items in the village began to go missing, and was also the one to first believe that Wilfre had returned. Circi abused her role as deputy mayor, as she was able to complete her mission of gathering the Artifacts of Power under the guise of preventing Wilfre's attack. She eventually revealed her true self to the Raposa by creating the Giant Scribble Monster, although the monster presumably killed her.

Circi was later found in Wilfre's Wasteland after being cast into the ocean with the Artifacts of Power. She used the artifacts to draw her daughter Milfre into reality.

Watersong

Main article: Butler

Rose's butler was Butler. Butler handled all of Rose's affairs while she had lost her voice and seems to be a father figure for Miles. He is also heavily involved with Lavasteam and trade, seeing as he recognized Eeny and Meeny, asking them first if they were there to trade. When Rose died and passed on the mayor position to Miles, Butler stepped down from his role as Butler, and the mantle was filled by Meeny.

Meeny

Main article: Meeny

Miles's butler was Meeny. Although not much is known about Meeny's actions as butler, it is known that he was Miles' step-father, which may have been the reason Miles chose him. Eventually, Meeny dies, leaving Miles without a Butler.

Lavasteam

IconSalemHead.png Salem

Main article: Salem

Miney's advisor was Wilfre, under the guise of Salem. Salem manipulated Miney into believing that he was a diplomat from a foreign village that had lost its color, although his act did not sway Eeny, Meeny, or Moe, causing Miney to exile the first two from Lavasteam, and causing Salem to trap Moe in a cave. Salem stopped being Miney's advisor after setting off the Giant Robosa and fleeing from the village.
