Deputy Mayor

From Drawn to Life Wiki

A Deputy Mayor is a position found in nearly every village in the Raposa realm, although it has a different name in each. The role of deputy mayor is less of a monarchy than the mayor is, and seems to only be appointed when a mayor needs assistance with their duties. The deputy mayor typically acts as an advisor to the mayor and is usually older than them. In Rapoville, if the current mayor does not have a child, the deputy mayor is next in line to be mayor, unless the deputy mayor has died. In this case, an election is held among the villagers to determine the new mayor, although this has not happened yet in any village.

Wilfre uses this as a point in his argument with Mayor about drawing in the Book of Life.

Mari's deputy mayor was Circi. Circi helped Mari relieve tension when items in the village began to go missing, and was also the one to first believe that Wilfre had returned. She eventually revealed her true self to the Raposa by creating the Giant Scribble Monster, although the monster presumably killed her.
