“I came here to study the stars...”
–Galileo
Galileo is a Raposa who appears in Drawn to Life, Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter (Wii), and Drawn to Life: Two Realms. He is an astronomer.
He lives and works at the Observatory in the south-eastern half of Rapoville, where the player can view the Night and Day Sky. Galileo and the Template for his observatory are rescued from Star Forest. He isn't often seen interacting with other Raposa, or even leaving the observatory area. He also has very limited dialog for a non-generic Raposa.
Appearance
Galileo has aureolin-yellow fur and a long white beard. He wears a red robe with a matching pointed red hat. He also appears to be wearing grey pants.
Quotes
“Thank you! Your timing could not have been better! I came here to study the stars... but I'm ready to turn to the Village!”
–Galileo Upon being rescued.
“Ah, dear Mari! You've grown so much... There is such a grand world outside these Village Gates... But it is good to be back!”
–Galileo Upon exiting the Forest Gate and being greeted by Mari.
“You rescued my family... I cannot thank you enough. I must speak with The Mayor... I hope to see you around, Hero.”
–Galileo To The Hero.
“Mayor... I wanted to see the world... But I think I can finish my research here...”
–Galileo Speaking to The Mayor at the Village Hall.
“I can help with that... send Hero to find me. I'll find somewhere to place the Observatory!”
–Galileo Offering to help find a good location for the Observatory.
“Hero, this spot should work. But it's covered in darkness... If The Creator can clear the clouds, we can place the Observatory! Could you visit the Eternal Flame?”
–Galileo Before the darkness is cleared from the Observatory.
“This spot is perfect... we should have a grand view of the sky!”
–Galileo After the darkness is cleared from the Observatory.
“Yes... Now it's up to The Creator to color it!”
–Galileo To The Mayor, before the Observatory is created.
“Excellent... I can't wait to view the sky!”
–Galileo After the Observatory is created.
“Pirates are actually quite intelligent... They use the stars to navigate.”
–Galileo Talking about Pirate Beard and his crew.
“Oh Rapo... Dr. Cure, can you do anything for him?”
–Galileo To Dr. Cure, upon finding the badly-injured Mayor.
“The Mayor was a dear friend...”
–Galileo After The Mayor dies.
“Now we can live in peace...”
–Galileo After Wilfre is defeated.
“So many memories... The Creator drew the moon and stars for us...”
–Galileo Upon the end of Drawn to Life.

“Hero, you are always travelling to the most interesting places. I would love to travel to the stars someday. Stars look beautiful from down here. I wonder what they look like up close?”
–Galileo Before completion of the ninth level's story.
“The Shadow City used to be home to Raposa. After Wilfre's shadow creatures infested the city, the Raposa left. The Shadow City is a haunted shell of what it once was.”
–Galileo Mentioning Wilfre and Shadow City, before completion of the tenth level's story.
“You know that Wilfre once wanted to be an artist. I think it was Wilfre's anger at his lack of talent that drove him mad. I find it sad when one's dreams are crushed, don't you?”
–Galileo Mentioning Wilfre, before completion of the eleventh level's story.
“I am constantly amazed at our Creator's universe. We should consider ourselves lucky to live in such a world. The Creator makes all sorts of wonders - look at you, for example!”
–Galileo Before completion of the twelfth level's story.
“I can see through my telescope that the lighthouse is broken. I would help fix it, but I am too busy looking at the stars. Mike will be able to fix the lighthouse. He's very smart.”
–Galileo Mentioning Mike, before completion of the thirteenth level's story.
“If I turn my telescope towards the world, I can see the Icy Wastes. The Icy Wastes look very cold. I prefer the warmer climate of Raposa village.”
–Galileo Referring to the Icy Wastes, before completion of the fourteenth level's story.
“Oh, bother. This snow keeps obscuring my view of the heavens. Hero can you do anything to stop this snow? The sooner this snow clears up, the sooner I can get back to my telescope.”
–Galileo Before completion of the fifteenth level's story.
“This wedding has brought romance back to the village. I, too, once loved a young Raposa. But that was a long time ago. I guess you could say I'm married to my work.”
–Galileo Before completion of the sixteenth level's story.
“I find Mike to be a fascinating person. Mike, sadly, knows nothing about astronomy. No matter how hard I look, I cannot find this "Earth" Mike talks about.”
–Galileo Mentioning Mike, before completion of the seventeenth level's story.
“How are you today, Hero? It's a beautiful day. The skies should be nice and clear tonight. A Raposa couldn't ask for anything more in life.”
–Galileo Before completion of the eighteenth level's story.
“To reach the Tree of Ages, you'll need to cross the the Land of the Eastern Winds. No easy feat! It's made of many floating islands, you know. Getting from island to island is impossible! Unless you can fly... You need a pair of wings! As a child I used to watch the birds. I've always dreamed of flying.”
–Galileo Talking to The Hero and Jowee about the Land of the Eastern Winds.
“Start your journey in the Sky Arch Mountains first. They're the closest islands. Maybe you'll figure out how to fly!”
–Galileo After Jowee mentions the Wings from Drawn to Life.
“The Land of the Eastern Winds? Oh, I would love to fly one day. You should have seen me running around flapping my arms as a child. It was all I could think of! Maybe one day I shall accompany you to the Land of Eastern Winds.”
–Galileo Before completion of the nineteenth level's story.
“Legend has it that if you go to the Land of the Eastern Winds in great need, a way shall be provided. I see that it has.”
–Galileo Talking to Mari, Jowee, and The Hero, after going to the Sky Arch Mountains.
“How was the Land of the Eastern Winds? Was the Land of the Eastern Winds as beautiful as they say it is? I should visit the Land of the Eastern Winds soon. I'm not getting any younger.”
–Galileo Before completion of the twentieth level's story.
“Fortunately, my telescope doesn't work on electricity. Maybe with the lights out, there will be less light pollution at night. There is always a bright side to every problem, don't you think?”
–Galileo Before completion of the twenty-first level's story.
“Last night I saw a remarkable comet in the sky. Some Raposa believe that a comet is a harbinger of disaster. Raposa who believe a comet is dangerous are clearly uneducated.”
–Galileo Before completion of the twenty-second level's story.
“I have spotted several large, dark creatures above the Drifting Isles in the Land of the Eastern Winds. They look very threatening.”
–Galileo Talking to Mari, Jowee, and The Hero about the Drifting Isles.
“Hero, there are several creatures approaching from the southeast. If those creatures reach the Tree of Ages, they could harm it. I have a bad feeling about this.”
–Galileo Referring to the Tree of Ages, before completion of the twenty-third level's story.
“Hero, would you let me know if Wilfre attacks the village? Sometimes I get too engrossed in my work to notice things. I might be an old Raposa, but I am prepared to fight Wilfre if need be.”
–Galileo Mentioning Wilfre, before completion of the twenty-fourth level's story.
“I was sure that monster was going to put an end to my stargazing, but I appear to have lived to see another night sky.”
–Galileo At the end of the game.
